Another Big Saturday in the Prem
I've barely gotten over the thrill of that big Leeds victory yesterday, and suddenly we're upon another big Saturday in the Premier League again. It all starts on Peacock early this morning with West Ham hosting Man City. That's followed by lowly Fulham at home to Palace on NBC Sports. Then there is the big lunchtime fixture - Man Utd v. Chelsea. It doesn't get bigger than that. Finally, if you haven't had enough, there is Liverpool v. Sheffield United to take you into your evening. Join me for all the fun right here.

Good morning, Bob. Here to join you for a marathon Saturday of fixtures. Thanks for getting us started
Morning, boys - if recent history is any guide whatsoever, this is only going to end one way. Since drawing 2-2 with Manchester City in January 2016, West Ham United have met the Citizens on nine occasions. They’ve lost every game, a sorry sequence that has them on the wrong end of an aggregate 30-4 scoreline.
They're blowing bubbles as they're off from the London Stadium
Hiya, David - great to have you on board again today. It is indeed a marathon today.
Good morning, Dave. Agreed that it should be a one sided Citeh win
The team news out of London Stadium today:
West Ham United: Fabianski, Coufal, Balbuena, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Masuaku, Bowen, Soucek, Rice, Fornals, Antonio.
Subs: Yarmolenko, Lanzini, Noble, Haller, Diop, Fredericks, Randolph.
Manchester City: Ederson, Walker, Dias, Garcia, Joao Cancelo, Bernardo Silva, Rodri, Gundogan, Mahrez, Aguero, Sterling.
Subs: Stones, Zinchenko, Steffen, De Bruyne, Torres, Foden, Palmer.
Referee: Anthony Taylor (Cheshire).
Sorry, Bob. The morning coffee hasn't kicked in. Those stats would indicate that the Hammers should be well... hammered
Thanks, Bob. Hoping the other Manc team defeats a different London club today
Aguero wins a corner opff a Sterling pass
Just a reminder that they turn the clocks back an hour tonight in Europe, so all the matches will start an hour later than normal this week
Interestingly, West Ham start the match slightly ahead of City in the table, 10th as against their 11th.
So far this match has looked like 10th vs 11th. Hope the big one is more entertaining
I agree - neither side looking especially impressive as of yet.
IN an early season promotion six pointer in the Championship between two teams relegated from the Prem, the Hornets take the lead vs the Cherries. Hornets up to second, behind the Reading Railroad on goal difference
Oh - Diaz got around the back of the WH defense but he should have hit that one first time.
Goufaal clears for a corner as Ruben Dias tried to chest down a long ball
Bob, did you see my comment about the time change?
Yesterday in the Championship an East Midlands Derby finished 1-1 between Forest and the Rams. Both teams just outside the drop zone
GOAL !!! THE HAMMERS TAKE THE LEAD WITH A FANTASTIC VOLLEY BY ANTONIO
Oh - would you look at that! This wonderful season continues with a superb overhead kick by Michael Antonio!
1-0 Hammers!
And Moyesy loves it!
It came down to the Hammers winning two 50-50 challenges near the Citeh corner flag then a superb cross from Gouffal was spectacularly volleyed in by Antonio
Thanks for that reminder about the clocks going back in Europe, David - that's very helpful.
Andy Townsend stated that it's surprising that Citeh have the 12th best goal difference because they're such a great team attacking. He never mentioned that they're defending has been shocking, which says everything
Glad to help, mate. We turn ours back next weekend
The Hammers are looking really good so far. Not being overawed by Citeh one bit.
That's right - along with Halloween. We're not expecting much activity in the neighborhood due to COVID.
We shouldn't have any. . The county canceled all trick-or treating events since that's considered a large gathering
They want a penalty for that challenge on Antonio? That was a fair tackle
Aguero showing his rustiness as he makes a mess of a pass from Cancelo about two yards from goal
YIKES! Hammers up to third , ahead of Leeds on goal difference. I'm surprised Bob isn't getting any trashing talking from Johnno
Hammers breaking and Gundogan should be booked for a hold back as the ref played the advantage
West Ham defending really effectively here - Citeh really haven't threatened very much and WH threaten to break every time Citeh lose the ball.
Not sure how Gundogan gets away with a rugby hold on Rice. I guess separate rules aapply to Citeh players
Johnno actually chipped in on my Facebook post to congratulate me for the win yesterday. It's all good. I don't expect to be in a European spot this season. This is a season for consolidating our position in the top division - that's it.
Should have been a yellow for the Turk.
Citeh have dominated possession , but with the exception of a couple of attacks, they have been slow and predictable
LOL, Bob. He's actually German despite the name and has been capped by Germany
Pep doesn't look well pleased so far. I wonder what the equivalent of rattling teacups is in Spanish.
My apologies - you're right. I forget that he, like Ozil, is German but of Turkish ancestry.
I can't believe that Citeh are complaining about fixture congestion given the mammoth size of their squad. That's ridiculous!
More excuses from the commentator for Citeh's lacklustre performance. We were playing yesterday without our skipper and our defensive leader. No excuses for Pep.
I agree , Bob. That doesn't make sense. Any team that qualified from Europe has the same problem. It's not unique to Citeh. What exactly does Pep want?
Two long range Hammers shots are blocked
Soucek tried something a bit improvised there. Didn't quite come off like Antonio's effort.
A minute of stoppage time and glad it's not been more
Half-time - West Ham troop in 1-0 up. I'm absolutely loving how unpredictable this season has been. In previous seasons, Citeh would have been inevitably 3-0 up at half time and you'd have to wonder whether it was worth watching the second half. Not this season.
The Hammers are one up at the end of a half without many highlights.
The second half is underway from the London Stadium
Early Citeh corner
It's headed away at the near post
Back for the second half with a fresh cuppa.
Long range shot from Rodri is deflected over
Welcome back. Did you have an LOB brekkies?
Looks like Antonio may have tweaked his hammy - he'll need to come off to protect him.
Not quite yet, mate. I'm waiting for the missus to rouse herself. We've got a danish to heat up.
Palace visiting the Cottage today. That must be one of the more low key visits to your house
GOAL! Foden, the supersub levels it for Citeh!
GOAL PHIL FODEN OFF THE BENCH TIES IT UP FOR CITEH
Cancelo threatened down the side but Foden's control made that goal. He had a lot to do there.
So, Yarmolenko is on for Antonio. WH will do well to hang on now.
Antonio must be injured, but Jammy can be a threat as well
Hope you all do a better job of hating up some Danish than England did at Wembley a week and a half ago.
Not sure if the 10 AM match is even worth watching
Pass from, Foden to Sterling just too long as Flappy rushed off his line to gather
A 1-1 draw would be an excellent result for Leeds, that's for sure.
I'm hoping so, too - that was a limp attempt By England.
Jarred Bowen wins a corner off of Rodri
Ederson catches the corner
Powerful long range shot from Kyle Walker straight to Flappy, who did NOT flap
A draw definitely suits Leeds who are back in third place while the Hammers drop back down to tenth place
Benrahma is a great signing for West Ham. He's a really creative force.
I haven't seen him play for the Hammers and wonder who will make way for him. He can be a great addition
Long range shot from Jammy Lenko high and wide
West Ham still pushing for a second goal. Yarmolenko has been good since coming on.
Bernie Sanders makes way for KDB.
Haller on for Jarred Bowen and KDB ion for Weekend at Bernie's who played as if hung over from a weekend party
LOL, Bob. I thought he made for Joe Biden
You can't really see either side scoring a winner at this point. It's all gotten a bit stale.
Doesn't Joe Biden (aka Joelinton) play for Newcastle?
Zinchenko to come on for Citeh - that seems like a defensive move from Pep.
Zinny about to come on for Kyle Walker , which will be the final roll of the dice from Pep as Valbuena clears for a Citeh corner. That change is being made
Sterling wins a corner off of Haller
LOL! . I sure hope Joe Biden plays better then Joe Linton
Sterling dives to win a free kick off of Ogbonna
KDB lining up a free kick now....
Flappy collects easily.
Free kick from KDB straight to Flappy
That was an interesting ploy by the WH defense of having a man lying down behind the wall to prevent against the patented KDB low drives.
Flappy forced to make a diving save off an intended cross from KDB
Ruben Dias called for a foul on Pablo Fornals
Moyes surprisingly innovative. I guess anything is possible
Oh - Mahrez was in there but took too much time and Masuako was able to get back to block.
MAsuaku clear for a corner off a pas sfrom KDB to MAhrez as he faild to control tyhe pass
Oh - Fournals was away there and tried to chip Ederson. The keeper stood up tall.
Hammers counter off the corner and Jammy Lenko finds Fornals who gets behind the Citeh defense then a dreadful chip results in a pass to Ederson
Oh - now it's Sterling away but denied by Flappy. End to end stuff now, as the game gets stretched.
Citeh nearly punish a horrible defensive error from Masuaku as KDB tackles him , puts through Sterling and Flappy rushes out to block as he was through
Sterling through again, but stopped by a great tackle from Ogbonna
Foden goes on a solo run , but then fouls Cresswell to stop the latest Citeh attack
Sterling was nearly in again - he's come to life in these latter stages. Nothing doing from the WH defense.
Three minutes of stoppage time to come.
A trio of stoppage time minutes
Morning Boys,
had a bit of sleep in today
The match was on the Cock....typical!
COME ON HAMMERS
Oh - Mahrez hits the outside of the post. Last corner chance now.
Nearly a late winner. Mahrez hits the outside of the post off a Sterling pass, but deflected for a corner
It finishes 1-1 , which is a great result for the Hammers AND Leeds
Fantastic.... City drop more points!!
Full-time - It's the second time that Citeh have dropped points away to a side that they would have expected to beat. More evidence that West Ham have improved and Citeh are in the doldrums.
1-1
Good Morning, Dave. You should be well rested for the match on NBC
Welcome, Dave - that is fantastic news, isn't it!
Both sides finish in mid-table and could easily slip farther down the table this weekend.
I'll likely take a shower during the next match, which looks a bit rubbish. Hoping for Fulham to suffer another humiliating loss at home.
Grrrr....I am watching Monster Jame crap!
I'm thinking of sitting out the next match too
It is a bit of a snoozer for the 3 o'clocker...I'll be definitely be taking a walk during this match
The Hornets defeat the Cherries 1-0 and move up to second place behind the Reading Railroad on goal difference
The Cherries actually got an injury time equalizer at Vicarage Road
The teams coming out at Craven Cottage now to some really odd musical choices.
I'm off to the shower, hoping that Palace can give Fulham a right stuffing.
Back from the shower and delighted to see that Palace are 0-1 to the good. Let's have another, boys!
Looking at the table, Leeds are still in third. Palace will move up to fifth above Leicester with a win. They'll be level with us on 10 points but with inferior goal difference. And of course Fulham would remain rooted to the bottom on 1 point from six. Lovely.
Coming up on half-time, then. Palace still lead 0-1.
Lovely team goal for Palace there. But dreadful defending from the likes of Tom Cairney and Tim Ream.
The players are back on for the second half. It's remarkable to see that, given the construction at Craven Cottage that there are loads of leaves strewn about the pitch. Shouldn't Fulham get sanctioned for a poor playing surface. Dock them some points!
Hey Bob,
I have had our walk in a very breezy Glenville....flying leaves all over the place!!
I have 5Live on for updates... of course....NBC are behind the BBC
You must be buzzing about last night's game!
WOW!
I was listenig to 5Live and of course they wanted to make some controversy saying that Leeds should've been down to ten men
Pardew on the 5Live commentary....he is one that has no idea about past tense..... he's never heard of the word 'came'
So infuriating
GOAL! Wilf Zaha slams home Palace's second!
And he's hurt himself in the process. Ouch!
0-2!
Palace doubles their lead
Zaha taps one in at the back post....he collided with the post and was hurting as all of his teammates were hugging him
Welcome back, mate. Glad that you had a walk. We're planning to do the same between the rain showers later this afternoon.
Yeah, still buzzing from the match yesterday. I can't wait to see our side play these days. Hope that United can do the biz against Chelsea today.
Real take a 2-1 at the Nou Camp
Thanks mate
Wonder what side Ollie will put out today? Will he keep the same formation from PSG?
Will Cavani start?
Greenwood?
Sides will be announced in a minute or so
When Fulham are inevitably relegated at the end of the season, some Premier League outfit is going to pick up Tom Cairney. He's a classy midfield playmakers IMHO.
Pompey still lead 2-1 at the SoL
Cambridge take the lead against the run of play against Bolton at the Abbey
Top of the table and still going strong
United unchanged from the Newcastle match!
Cavani on the bench
Tuanzebe out
Telles out
How much longer can Scotty Parker last in this job. This will be five losses and a draw to start the season.
I don't get how players haven't earned their spots
Wednesday go down to ten men at home to Luton and then fall behind
I'd love to see Cavani bombing off the bench in the second half.
Pogba, Cavani, Greenwood, Matic, VDB, Tuanzebe and Henderon on United's bench
Team to play Chelsea: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, McTominay, Fred, Fernandes, Mata, James, Rashford.
Subs: Henderson, Pogba, Cavani, Greenwood, Matic, Van de Beek, Tuanzebe.
Team to play Man Utd: Mendy, James, Silva, Zouma, Azpilcueta, Chilwell, Jorginho, Kante, Pulisic, Havertz, Werner.
Subs: Caballero, Rudiger, Abraham, Kovacic, Giroud, Mount, Ziyech.
Not liking what OGS has done!
Same side that started at SJP....it was 1-1 with this side on the pitch...when he made changes....4-1....why not start with the changed side?
Benteke being readied to come on now.
I don't know if sides should sack a manager that brought them up in the first place
Ipswich lost midweek and are losing again today
1-0 dow Lincoln
Even if they're bound to take them back down again?
Bolton tie it up at the Abbey St
Last ten minutes in Spain..... Real still ahead .... I wish both teams could lose!
VAR check for a red card.
I think they should keep with him....the team is just not that good
Ref going to the screen for a red card look
I don't think it is worth a red.... he is changing it to a red
Tackles are not allowed any more!
Looks like Kamara is going off. Fulham down to ten men!
Pompey 3-1 up at the SoL
High Flying Reading winning again
2-0 at home to Rotherham
They have a 5 point lead
Every tackle looks worse in slow motion...players can't go in for a tackle any more!
INTENT should mean something... contact is fine
Blackburn thumping 10-man Coventry at St Andrews 4-0
Ball in the net for Palace but Offside
Zaha stuffs the ball in the net but he's flagged offside.
I thought that it was yellow at worst.
Real extend their lead in injury time
3-1 at the Nou Camp
Reading score from the spot... 3-0 for the leaders
Nice call from you player there.... game on?
Probably not... less than a minute to go
GOAL! Lovely strike by Cairney there to get one back for Fulham. Just a bit too late for them.
Norwich take a very late winner against pointless Wycombe
Yeah - I think he's the one class act on this Fulham side.
That's it - Fulham go down again 1-2, and I couldn't be happier. The more matches that teams like Fulham, Sheffield United and WBA lose, the more distance between them and us.
NBCSN go straight off to a Tape Delay 6 Nations match
NBC...Vets Saving Vets
I am getting so annoyed with them after being so great
Ajax are TWELVE NIL up away !!
Oi - who put the rugger on my telly!
Make that THIRTEEN
That's a final as VVV were really taken to the cleaners. Traore responsible for eight of those as he scored he quintet and had a hat-trick of assists . Not a bad day at the office
Wish I had him in Fantasy Football!
COME ON NBC.... MAN UTD vs CHELSEA and you will show up for the kick off
POOR FORM
Real won 1-3 at Barca to go top of the table, albeit temporarily
I am now going to have to turn of 5Live and hide my phone... NBC will be behind.... POOR FORM
Agreed. They won't even show up ten seconds early.
United stayed in a hotel together last night to replicate an away game.... haven't lost on the road since January
Pouring with rain in Manchester....shocker
Agreed. It's disgraceful
Finally...NBC are at OT....and they are ready to kick off
Away we go....
COME ON MAN U
COME ON MAN U
COME ON MAN U
I'm back with my lunch for the big one! Come on, you Red Devils!
That's hilarious. I guess whatever works. A shocker . They were actually ten seconds early. They're off from OT
Outscored at Old Trafford 2-9 in two games
Again... same 11 as SJP but we were 1-1 until the side changed
Scary that the team that lost 0-13 to Ajax is a mid table team, not a relegation struggler. What does that say about the teams below them?
Le Sox saying how he loves the tactics crap
We need a massive improvement if we are going to get anything against the Bundesliga leaders on Wednesday
They should call him LeSucks
James should not be in... Greenwood should be starting
Not very positive from either team...hope you like the tactics LeSox
Nice tackle by ObiWan
James has no end product. He gets into some good positions
Nice tackle by Obi Wan on Pulisic
The table is remarkable looking right now. Liverpool in fourth, Arsenal in 7th, Spurs in 9th, Chelsea in 10th, Citeh in 12th, United in 15th. Wow!
Why would United buy Cavani and not start him when your "striker" is suspended
AND....Leeds in THIRD
It's raining harder now than at the beginning of the match
We'll take James off you. He should have been Leeds from the start!
I think the bench is stronger than the starting line up
It shows how we've declined as a club when we can't attract even decent players other than Telles
Can't believe how many people were happy with a nil nil for Chelsea at home to Sevilla
They aren't that good...United should have easily won in the EL Semi
I wonder if OGS is prioritizing the CL match on Wednesday. They all need to be prioritized
You can have him
He was great for the first four games of his United career then fell off a cliff
