It's nine minutes in from SFL 2.0 and still 0-0
Afternoon, David - thanks for getting us going this afternoon. Of course, I'm hoping that Spurs can fill their boots today and demoralize and perhaps tire out our opponents on Sunday - Brentford.
Lovely - Spurs have taken the lead through an o.g. - our old friend Pontus Jansson had a role in that one.
Spurs 1-0 up!
Spurs one up through an OG by Sergio Canos off a cross from Number One Son off a shot corner which he took to Regulon and received the pass back. The corner came on a slide tackle by Sergio Canos on Regulonm off a long ball from Eric Dier
Glad to help. It's been a busy day packing boxes., but glad to take a break
Spuds now sixth , a point behind their North Lonbdopn rival Gunners, who kickoff at OT in about twenty minutes
Here's the team news out of OT tonight

Referee Martin Atkinson.
When is the big moving day, mate?
Rico Henry wins a Bees corner off of Casino Royal
Corner from Sergio Canos headed away then after several defensive potatoey headers Bryan Mbuemo volleys just wide from just outside the box
We're moving being packed a week from Monday , leaving a week from Tuesday in the morning and supposed to close on the house, a fortnight from tomorrow. The movers are supposed to move us in a fortnight from Saturday. That's the tentative schedule.
I'm watching Spuds vs Bees on the computer and United vs Gunners on the ROKU TV
OH! Long range shot from Number One turned around superbly by Alvaro Fernandez
Coming up on kick off time now - what is your prediction for tonight?
Corner from Number One son headed on to Hoy Berg , who overruns the ball but wins a corner off of Alvaro Fernandez, who is winded for his efforts
That'll be a busy time for you, then. Best of luck!
I'm guessing a 1-1 draw from the match at OT.
I'd like to see a second goal from the Spuds right about now.
Thanks, mate. We're excited, but a bit overwhelmed as well
Not sure if Steve wants more goals from the Spuds. He might hit you with a sack of potatoes, LOL!
Teams headed out to the pitch at OT with a great roar of approval from United fans . Great to hear
This should be Michael Carrick's final match on the touchline as Ralf Ranick should be on the touchline Sunday vs Palace
Surprised Dave and Steve aren't around for the big match
Just about set to go - hope it's a cracker!
Regulon wins a corner off of Sertgio Canos from a poor pass , but was superbly sent down the left by Harry Kane on the break
They're off from OT
COME ON MAN UNITED
Agreed, Bob, as long as it's a United victory
A pair of stoppage time minutes from SFL 2.0
Oh - off the line early on from a corner. Wakey, wakey United.
Early corner from Odor Guard headed on and sliced over the bar for another corner from Rash. Nearly and early Gunners lead
Three successive Gunners corners about two minutes ib. This one headed away. United counter off this one
Spuds one up at the half vs the Bees. Ben Davies with a rare headed goal
Hi Guys
Just back from the doctor's office...had a physical
United could have been two down inside the first minute!
Celtic one up vs the Queen of Hearts. Celtic now second, four points behind Rangers
Good Afternoon, Dave. Hope the visit was a success. Agreed about the shaky United start
I hate all this tactics talk...it bores me to tears!
United keep on gifting the Gunners possession. They will get thrashed if they keep doing that
United with their first effort Dalot with a back pass
The announcer at the other match referred to it as authority and swagger. I'm sure you disagree with that
This performance will Ralf ralph. Sound about right?
United BORING me again!!
Weak effort from Ronaldo there....could have passed
Very bright opening to this match.
Welcome, Dave - are you fit to play on Saturday?
The Gunners with a bright start. They're clicking, while United , not so much
We host Palace ion Sunday. Perhaps Ralf will pick Dave to start in his first match in charge of United
I'm fit....put me in coach...I'm ready to play...today...Put me in coach...I'm ready to play.....today...look at me....center forward
The ball's in the net for Arsenal but it will be called back for some offense against De Gea.
Arsenal hit the net but De Gea was was prone on the ground
Fred took him down
Ref didn't blow the whistle.....will this count?
Will VAR look
Nice John Fogerty reference, mate! Glad to hear that you're fit to run the full 90 minutes.
Of course Arlo wants to make such a big deal about it
I guess it should count tho
VAR to check on this one - it looks like Fred was the culprit.
Agreed. Great reference, Dave
I think VAR would have disallowed the goal as De Gea was down to a foul.
I think VAR are looking...and it will count
It is unfair that De Gea was laying down.....it would have been saved
It is unfair
This is taking far too long. A decision should have already been made.
BUGGER! THE GOAL ROWED IN BY EMILE SMITH STANDS
Sorry, boys - the goal does stand. United players are furious but I do think that it's a correct reading of the law.
0-1 Gunners
I know there is nothing wrong.... but he was laying down... he would have saved it
Take nothing away from the excellent volley from Emile Smith-Rowe.
I agree it was in the rules....but still sucks
Another day gone....no clean sheet
I agree. How can a team play without a goalkeeper.I guess it wasn't a foul, but Martin Atkinson should have stopped play when De Gea was down. I know it wasn't a foul as he was stepped on by Fred, but a team is sup[posed to play with a fit goalkeeper.
I second that, Dave. It really does suck, but I guess by the letter of the law the right call.
I think it is Atkinson's fault that the game wasn't stopped.
Second half underway from SFL 2.0
You can't have a keeper laying down and no blow up
I agree the whistle wasn't blown and it should count but it should have been blown....the keeper is not a normal player going down
I agree, Dave. He should have stopped the game as soon as De Gea was down injured. He's supposedly a top ref, but he really blew it that time.
United's first time trailing with Carrick in charge in his only match in charge OT
LeSox saying it wasn't an injury....he was hurt!!!!
Rob Green
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live
It is an incredible decision. Yes, you have head injuries that are allowed to stop the game. But this is a genuine injury. It is impossible for Manchester United to do anything to stop the goal. De Gea would have saved it. An unbelievable decision. Amazing.
Glenn Murray
Former Brighton striker on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra
I'm not surprised at all that the goal was given. It was only his own players near him.
I don't see how it couldn't be given a goal! I don't know what all the kerfuffle was about.
Long through ball Skipped through to Harry Kane and NOT Abel to score as Alvaro Fernandez did well to come out and make a close range reflex block
12 straight home games conceding a goal for the first time since early 60s
Could we lose three in a row...first time since Sexton years
I agree wit Rob Green even though Glenn Murray was correct according to the rules. Martin Atkinson blew it.
Both North London clubs leading 1-0
United are just plain pathetic!
Well... the problem is that Atkinson DIDN'T blow it
I"m sure Steve is happy with it.
Another Skipped pass to Harry Kane and Abel to find Hoy Berg who shoots into the side netting from a yard out
Why tweak the system to have Fred go up further....did you see his 'chip' at the Bridge?
LOL, Dave.! Not amused by the decision, but great wording about the decision. Steve is probably delighted
Atrocious corner but United get another
Corner taken and Ramsdale forced to tip over shot for another United corner which is cleared
Come on, you Red Devils!
Another atrocious corner!! Doesn't beat the first man!
Basic skill of taking a corner!!!
A tale of two Atkinsons. Ron helpedUnited to wins until the end of his United career while Martin may help United loose. Sound about right?
Long shot from Harry Maguire well over.
Bruno has be so bad for months!!!
Is he in a strop because Ronaldo is here!!
Two words I hate.....
Philosophy
Identity
The Gunners now in fourth place ahead of the Hammers
I don't care for those words too much wither, especially identity. Does that mean the players know what the tactics are?
GOAL! NUMBER ONE SON PUTS SPURS TWO UP
Son doubles Spurs lead
Why should a team play one way
They should play different ways and opponents don't know what to expect
The Bees caught out by Harry Kanes long pass down the left to Regulon , who went on a run and his pass into the box was diverted in by Number One Son
Agreed, but it seems like modern day footie requires tunnel vision instead of visionary thinking
Partey time for the Gunners. Another mistimed challenge again by Fred, this time just outside the United box
Dangerous position for this free kick now - this is a key moment in this match.
Free kick from Party off the wall for a Gunners corner
Goal kick...two players inside box for a short one....possession lost!
I just don't get...kick it long and lose possession 75 yards from goal
United have done NOTHING!!
O FOR UNITED!
Unbelievable.....United have scored!!
Such a bad half ends with a nice goal
Nice pass from Fred and cool finish
ABOUT BLOODY TIME BRUNO!
GREAT to see Bruno tie it up for United. Nice one touch passing from Sancho to Fred to Bruno
Wahay! Great goal from Bruno and United are back in this one.
About time Bruno and Fred did something right
Teams of old would be on the front foot and get another one before half time
United slow down
McTom in the book
A Barber Shop Quartet of stoppage time minutes as Partey is booked.
Sorry. McTomain. I hope cases of that type of poisoning
Will VAR look at that... Maguire pulled him down by the arm!!!
SO STUPID.... why wasn't it given
Emil Smith Rowes his way to a Gunners corner
Stonewall penalty there...makes up for the goal given
Gunners down to fifth, behind the Hammers on goal difference. United up two eighth place
We get it Le Sox....just shut up
United look like the will concede on every free kick or corner
As for Maguire..... how stupid are you!!!
Ian Dennis
BBC Radio 5 Live senior football reporter on BBC Radio 5 Live
We have a Premier League ruling on the goal. So, the referee blew the whistle after the ball had crossed the line. VAR was able to decide whether there was a foul on De Gea. The contact was clearly by his own player so it was able to rule that it was a goal.
Article Reactions
HT...bloody useless
It's 1-1 at the half at OT
Half-time and nicely poised at 1-1. I'm off home to enjoy the rest of it.
Hope you find your way home!!!
I have no confidence in United beating Palace on Sunday
Off we go
Come on Man U
Come on Man U
Come on Man U
The second half is underway from OT.
COME ON MAN UNITED!
I think we can defeat Palace but it's a matter of if we can. How quickly will Ralf;f be able to improve United if he can?
Great save by De Gea....ANOTHER chance given up from a corner....stunning!
It's over at SFL 2.0 and the Spuds have defeated the Bees 2-0
Ronaldo with a shot...well saved
Nice close range block by Ramsdale. Endf to end stuff
Nice pass from Bruno.
Bob got lost again
United have no flow whatsoever
They'll have a shot and bit of pressure for a minute....and then nothing
Rash with a long shot....well collected by England's #1?
YES!!!
RONALDO!!!
Nice pass by Rashford!
800 goals for Ronaldo!
WAY HAY! CR GIVES UNITED A 2-1 LEAD
It previous games, Bruno didn't celebrate goals....he is today. Happy with his goal I guess
Dave, also credit to your favorite Scottish son, who picked up a stray Gunners pass and did well to find Rash down the right
BUGGER! THAT STINKS AS ODOR GUARD MAKES IT DESMOND . PARTEY FOUND MARTINELLI WIDE RIGHT AND HIS PASS FOUND ODOR GUARD WHO SIDE FOOTED IT INTO THE CORNER OF THE GOAL
I was in the kitchen making a cuppa for Kath and I
United stink
Bob did get lost again!!
The Cottage is ACROSS THE BLOODY STREET!
Ronaldo(60) has also overtaken Paul Scholes(59) into second place in the list of leading Premier League goalscorers at Old Trafford
Wazza...has 101
Right now Spurs are up to 6th a point behind ahead of Wolves and two behind Arsenal
If United can get a winner...Spurs would only be one behind Arsenald and United be ahead of Wolves on goals scored
Cristiano Ronaldo is the only player to ever score 800 goals in high-level football.
129 - Man Utd
5 - Sporting Lisbon
450 - Real Madrid
101 - Juventus
115 - Portugal
Oh why couldn't have Ronaldo stayed at OT for those 12 years!!
That's 579 goals!!
Odegaard is the second Norwegian to score in the PL in a match between Utd and Arsenal
The other guys....Solskjaer...wonder whatever happened to him
Bruno almost in...wide from tight angle
United want a pen...Atkinson says no.....that has to be a penalty!!!!!
IS VAR CHECKING?
He's blown up
Will it be a pen? Who will take it
It should take him one second....it's given
Ronaldo with the ball....come on Ronny....don't blow it
YES!!!!!!!
Can United hold on? Can they extend?
COME ON!!!
WAY HAY! CR AT THE DOUBLE AS HE BLASTS IT DOWN THE MIDDLE TO GIVE UNITED A 3-2 LEAD
I hate how the pundits love to blame United's form on Ronaldo....HE'S SCORED TWELVE GOALS!!! 6 in the league and 6 in CL.......he qualified us for the Round of 16 by himself !
SCORE MORE!!
That's a fantastic accomplishment by CR. Pele scored mo0re but that was in Brazil footie. No9t sure how good the opposition was. CR the best?
Fred has had hand in three goals tonight
Assist, fouled for pen...took down his own keeper
Agreed. CR is the only one playing consistently well. The media names to blame the others like Bruno and Fred who have been in shocking form
Fred's been a busy boy this evening
Free kick chance for Arsenal...United struggle with balls into the box...cleared by Lindeloff
Free kick from Odor Guard headed out by Lindelof for a Gunners corner
It's DEEP to blame Ronaldo
United clear a corner with no problem....what a shocker
Odor Guard has had a hand in two goals. Scored one and conceded the penalty
Rash runs in the box....hadn't a clue what he was going to do...pass or shoot...simple!
Into the last 15 minutes....Lingard about to make an appearance
PEA with a shot....saved by De Gea late flag tho
Talking about the Cottage. It's a return to the Cottage tomorrow for Scotty Parker in a clash of the top two in the championship as the Cottagers host the Cherries
Can United hold on....probably not....this is United recently in the Prem
Villa H....Lost
Everton H....drew
Leicester A....lost
Liverpool H...lost
Spurs A....Won
City H...Lost
Watford A...lost
Not exactly brilliant.... relegation form in fact
Lingard comes on for Rash
Lindy on for Rash. Eddie on for odor Guard for the Gunners and I missed the other Gunners substitution but read in La Cazette that Aubama was subsitituted
Definitely relegation form. It might be different as OGS was in charge for United those matches. A new United era?
Today's date is both a palindrome and an ambigram: you can read it from left to right and right to left, as well as upside down
CR not a fan of Peter Gabriel as evidence d by that last shirt pull, but the effort is to be commended
Nice one. Hasn't thought about it , but definitely a palindrome., Very observant
Sara with a shot blocked by Fred for a corner off a cross from 70s disco group, Tavares
Saka so wide open at the back post!!!
Shot blocked by Fred
He does do some good running but I just wish he was better going forward
Stupid idiot comes on the field for a selfie with Ron
United break from a corner....chance blocked
Bugger
Great United counter. Nice run by Bruno and Tommy Yasoo does well to block from CR to prevent his hat--trick
Ronaldo off for Martial
CR karate chopped off and a deserved standing ovation for his great performance
United have a corner...bring up the big guys....they get the ball back to De Gea
If CR is played terribly today then I would like him to be terrible every match
DVDB on for Bruno
Ronaldo is down the tunnel already
The final roll of the dice from Michael Carrick as VDB on for Bruno
Into stoppage time . A quintet of those minutes. That's more than it should be
Into added time....5 added minutes
For what?
The added time is so bloody inconsistent!!!
The first half had four and there was a big delay for the VAR check and De Gea's injury
This half..some goals and VAR check that took three seconds
THE CLOCK needs to be fixed...NO ONE BUT ME seems to care
United to get the ball in possession and try and score... STOP SITTING BACK!!
A long spell of Gunners pressure results in Party time for Un iced due top an illegal karate chop
United look so nvervous to win any game!!!
I don't want to see much celebrating after this one...you're supposed to win your home games....not concede 7 without reply
Knowing our luck Martin Atkinson will another two minutes for who knows what.
Fans won't give the ball back...until the new one comes on...then they throw it back
Hopefully Raplf gets us back to winning ways so that bad habit changes
I'm finally home after a Rite Aid run for Kate. 3-2 United - what a cracker!
Last minute...hold tight
Awful long throw there....it was in fact a short one
United will be in seventh place if they hold on to win. Gunners would be in fifth place
Welcome back Bob...you stink at the home commute!!
