The FA Cup 4th Round Gets United
Morning, chaps - it's FA Cup Fourth Round Saturday. An exciting day of Cup action is bookended by matches involving our two Uniteds. My beloved kick off away to Accrington Stanley (Who? Exactly!) early doors, while ManYoo host Reading at the end of the day at 3pm.
Join me for those matches and more, won't you?

Morning, chaps - I'm up with the chickens to watch my boys take on Accrington. Who are they? Exactly! We're separated by only 55 miles but we've only met before twice, Leeds coming out winners on both occasions.
The team news for this morning's match:
Meslier, Firpo, Kristensen, Wober, Koch, Roca, Greenwood, Harrison, Sinisterra, Rutter, Bamford.
Subs: Robles, Van den Heuvel, Ayling, Llorente, Gyabi, Aaronson, Perkins, Rodrigo, Joseph.
It'll be fascinating to see if Lord Bamford and the new boy Georginio Rutter can gel up front together.
And we're away in this one. Come on, you Whites!
Early corner for us. Decent cross over but taken fairly easily by the keeper.
The surface seem s bit hard and bouncy. It's making it difficult for our players to get their passing game started.
I don't like how the Accrington players are getting a chance to play the ball about a bit.
Great block by Wober!
Oh - first big chance for us and Rutter should have scored. Just put it wide.
It's all far too frantic now - I want to see us exerting more control over the ball.
Free kick to Stanley now. Mark 'em up!
Another chance for Accrington - but straight at Meslier. This looks like a League 1 tie so far. Really horrible.
Yes, Jack - you beauty! Harrison with a rocket into the bottom right corner to put us 0-1 up!
Half-time - we started off horribly in the first 20 minutes, allowing Accrington to play their L1 stuff while failing to get anything going. But Jack Harrison's wonder strike settled us down and we really should be 2 or 3 up now. I want to see some more goals in the second half to see this one off.
Good morn ing, Bob. Here to join you for the second half , which is underway
OH! Accrington Stanley nearly tied it up. Had a set piece and on the half volley from about ten yards out Rogers volleys well over
Leeds at Accrington Stanley. Who are they, mate?
Into the second, and the same pattern. We're giving Stanley far too many chances.
Morning, David - thanks for joining me.
i'm in midst of feeding Macy.
Who are they, mate?
Good morning, have fun, mate. Bamford needs to be fed too. Some scoring chances that is
Exactly, mate!
Yeah, Lord Bamford is starving!
One other cup tie being played and it's a Midlands Derby. Foxes being held 0-0 at L2 Wasall.
Will Macy Share some of her brekkies with Lord Bamford?
I'd have Rutter off now - stick one of the kids on.
Yesterday Citeh defeated the Gunners 1-0 in the marquee tie. It was a fairly even match
I think Leeds were jipped there. Rogers rugby tackled Bamford in the D. Did he wave play on because he thought Bamford couldn't get to the long ball?
Doubtful, mate - she doesn't like to share.
I agree , Bob. Rutter, who looks like Weston Mckinnie's twin, has been off the pace. French under 21 international signed from Hoff N Ham.
I was guessing that, but thought it was worth a try. Anything for the Leeds cause
Oh - Patrick must finish those. Into the side netting on his weaker side.
OH! Into the side netting from Bamford. Long ball from the back headed down by Kristensen then Bamford turned and shot into the side netting
How about that late match. A return to OT for Incey as he will take the Reading Railroad to get there. United playing them in the Cup[ for the third time in seven years
Oh - Sinisterra bursts through and should have netted. We should be home and hosed at this point.
In saw that Leeds had some sinister luck as a long range shot from Luis came off the Sunday roast on a dreary Saturday afternoon.
Agreed because Stanley is in it as long as it's that slim one goal lead
Yes, finally! Firpo latches onto a brilliant ball from Lord Bam to slot home!
0-2!
WAY HAY! LEEDS GOES TWO UP. CONGRATULATIONS, MATE!
WAY HAY! TWO GOALS IN A MINUTE AS LEEDS GO THEREE UP. A TAP IN FOR SINISTER LUIS OFF A RUN AND PASS FROM JACK HARRISON
0-3! We're finally comfortable as Sinisterra slots home a second in a couple of minutes.
Oh - Rutter was in there and I would have loved to see him center that to Lord Bamford.
Congratulations. This one is done and dusted. Leeds pretty much in the fifth round
Oh - Patrick in again and should have dinked it over the keeper.
Ihenacho has given the Foxes the lead at Wasall.
OH! Good close range block by the keeper from Rodrigo off a pass from Bamford
Bloggers curse! After I criticized Rutter, he hads played well and even played a part in the second goal
Not sure why we're risking Rodrigo in a match that's been won. I would have thrown Sonny Perkins or Matteo Joseph on.
Best news of the morning - Wes McKennie has agreed terms and is a Leeds player!
Bob, you will be interested to note that John Coleman's side haven't cut the mustard against Leeds.
BOOM BOOM!
Congratulations, mate. That's fantastic news on tip of a comfortable win in what could have been a tricky tie.
BUGGER! ACCRINGTON STANLEY SCORES A CONSOLATION GOAL!LESLIE ADEKOYA SECONDS AFTER COPMING ON AS A SUB. MESLIER SAVED A LONG RANGE SHOT FROM TOMMY LEE THEN THE REBOUND WAS SQUARED OFF NFOR A TAP IN FOR ADEKOYA'S FIRST EVER CAREER GOAL
Really disappointing to concede a late goal. I would have really loved a clean sheet today.
The eighteen year old had only played seven professional matches prior to today and didn't even make his professional debut until last March
Near post kick save from Toby Savin off a shot from Rodrigo
Sorry, mate. Leeds needs to see this out. A shame they didn't keep a clean sheet.
Ray Houghton is very critical of this Leeds performance . I know you won't be pleased with his remarks
I don't necessarily disagree with Houghton - we really haven't been that good today.
At least they will be through to the Fifth Round. A good cup run will help
I would have had Matteo Joseph on earlier. He needs minutes.
Another chance for Adekoya and he heads over a cross from Tommy Neill.
I'm not familiar with him. Is he one of your academy players?
Yes, if we get a reasonable draw, who knows? I'd obviously like to avoid a top half Prem side.
Yes, he's our top scorer in the U-21s. Sonny Perkins who came on for Sinisterra, is his strike partner.
Adekoya booked for a nasty foul on Kristensen. Retaliation for an incident that occurred a minute earlier
It's over and Leeds through to the Fifth Round as they win 1-3. Congratulations, Bob.
That's it - we're safely into the 5th Round. In truth, we weren't very good today and the first half looked like a routine L1 match. But in the end, our quality shone through. Matching on together into the 5th Round.
Off to take Trooper walkies. I will be around for the late match. Will be in and out for the other matches as it's supposed to be a lovely day today. Will probably take advantage of the nice weather
Foxes through to the Fifth Round as they win 0-1 at Wasall. Looks like they made harder work of their tie than Leeds did
Thanks, mate - I'll likely be in and out of the next set of matches. I'll likely have the Tractor Boys v. Burnley on in the background of some twin duty.
I'm back at the end of the 10 o'clockers. I had Ipswich v. New Look Burnley on. Bit of a bore that ended 0-0.
I'm told that Fulham v. Sunderland was a great match - that ended 1-1.
Similarly, Blackburn v. Brum has ended Desmond. Same for Luton v. Grimsby.
So, who's also into the 5th Round? Well, Bristol City, who have beaten WBA 3-0. And Soton, who have squeaked by Blackpool 2-1.
On to the late ones. PNE v. Spuds starts in a few minutes and then we've got the late one between United and Reading Railroad.
Spuds are having a laugh with their ridiculous line-up:
Forster; Tanganga, Sanchez, Lenglet; Doherty, Bissouma, Bentancur, Sessegnon; Kulusevski, Son, Perisic
Hello, mate. We're out and about, so not sure how much I will be around for the late one
I'm just settling in for the late one after lunch. Here's the team news:
Man United: Man United: De Gea; Malacia, Lindelof, Maguire, Wan-Bissaka; Casemiro, Eriksen, Fernandes; Rashford, Weghorst, Antony. Subs: Heaton, Martinez, Varane, Williams, Fred, Mainoo, Pellistri, Elanga, Garnacho
Reading: Lumley, Hoilett, Baba, Yiadom (C), McIntyre, Holmes, Hendrick, Loum, Ince, Joao, Carroll. Subs: Bouzanis, Guinnes-Walker, Mbengue, Dann, Craig, Fornah, Azeez, Long, Meite
Earlier, the Spuds ran up a 0-3 scoreline against Preston.
Casemiro has added a visible note of quality to this United midfield: everything he does is assured and for the most part inch-perfect.
Back late on. United lead the ten man Reading Railroad 3-2. Andy Carroll sent off for a second booking for the Railroaders
