Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Here are the sides for today:
Everton: Howard, Neville, Yobo, Stubbs, Lescott, Osman, Carsley, Fernandes, Arteta, Johnson, Vaughan.
Subs: Wright, Hibbert, Naysmith, Beattie, Anichebe.
Arsenal: Lehmann, Toure, Silva, Gallas, Hoyte, Ljungberg, Fabregas, Diaby, Rosicky, Julio Baptista, Aliadiere.
Subs: Almunia, Senderos, Hleb, Denilson, Walcott.
Referee: M Clattenburg (Co Durham)
It looks a bit breezy in Goodison Park today, which may make for a scrappy affair. Everton have come out quickly.
That surely should have been a penalty for AJ. I think his reputation for diving worked against him there. He seemed to get the better of Lehmann and the Teutonic giant simply bundled him over.
In earlier results Liverpool and Villa drew 0-0, which will please the Arse.
Not such good news for their London neighbors West Ham as Charlton saw off Newcastle 2-0 to move within four points of safety.
The under-strength Arsenal side are struggled to contain Everton here.
Vaughn goes into the referee's book.
A real belter there from Lee Carsley.
Everton look marginally the better side on the half hour, but still 0-0. We need goals!
Stubbs, never the most graceful defender, goes into the book for an agricultural challenge.
The fancy flicks and reverse balls of Arsenal are, for once, not coming off today. The midfield seems crowded with Carsley, Fernandes and Yobo marking closely.
Great strike there from Aliadiere; it surprised Howard, who muffed it round the post.
Good opportunity for a free kick here. The Beast is lining it up....
Not the best, far past the left post.
A better spell here for Arsenal. An excellent move there ends with Fabregas in on goal. Howard snuffed out the chance well.
Half-time - 0-0. A decent but goalless first half where Everton had the better of the early going and Arsenal came into it near the half.
Fulltime - 1-0 Everton. A disappointing match in the end won by a scrappy goal by AJ. He might be a decent option off the bench for England next weekend.
In the end it meant more for Everton who are still in contention for a UEFA spot than Arsenal who almost certainly have a Champions League spot sewn up.
Sorry Bob, I was around the whole day. I checked this site and didn't see anything. I guess I didn't come back.
It was scrappy goal but well finished. He buried it.
I feel he needs to start with Rooney next weekend.
I will be around for Cup games tomorrow.
Will you be around? Be able to see them?
Yeah, I'm feeling similarly defeated, Sir Trev. With a mere eight games left, I can't see us making up the five point gap. It's been heartening to see a recent uptick in form (five points from three matches) but it's too little and too late. We're doomed too.
