Decision Day
So, D-Day has arrived in the Premiership. Everything at the top has been decided(YES!!!), but all the drama is at the bottom.
All three teams in danger of the drop have it all in their own hands to survive.
If West Ham do the business and get a point, they survive.
If Wigan get a win, they will be ahead of Sheffield United and no matter what West Ham do, they will survive.
The Blades have to get a home draw and they will survive.
I hope I have some company.

Morning, Dave! The rumors are flying about collusion between Sheffield United and Wigan. I know that you're hoping that it'll be a moot point, but if it comes down to it would you prefer:
Case A: ManYoo win and the Hammers drop. Or
Case B: ManYoo lose and Hammers stay up.
It may come down to that, mate.
It's a good sign to see that ManYoo is resting several players today.
Come on you Hammers!
Choice B.. of course I would prefer a draw. That would be good enough for the Hammers
I am sitting in my normal position on Saturday mornings.(even though it is Sunday)
Watching the footer and listening to Talksport.
So, you're coming next week!!!
FSC is going to be late in starting. It is already 3 pm and they are still giving the line ups. Let's hope they don't go for a commercial
Sorry, mate. I tried to swing it so that I could use some frequent flyer miles, but the Gooner couldn't make it work. Some other time, eh?
I'm watching FSC and checking Football 365 for the score updates.
Kick off everywhere
Wigan appealed for a penalty but not given.
Goal at Anfield. Charlton score after 80 seconds
I'm hoping for wins for both the Hammers and Wigan, so that the Blades get relegated.
I would like that too except that Wigan fans really bother me. They are more rugby fans than footer. Do they deserve a Prem team?
Good news for the Hammers. United don't look on fire
There are too many teams from the Greater Manchester area in the Premiership: ManYoo, Citeh, Blackburn, Bolton, Wigan.
I think that the trophy should be raised not by the club captain/s but by the player who's made the most appearances for the club that season. What do you think? Who would that be for United?
What about London?
Spurs 1 Citeh 0
Keano
Far too many in London too, but we're losing Watford and Charlton, who by the way have just taken the lead at Anfield. Bit too late, eh?
Interesting trophy comment.
I have no idea who it would be for United. Possibly Rooney. He has played almost every game
Duh, do you read my postings??? I already announce the Matty Holland goal.
Where are you JOHNNY????
D'oh, I missed it. Sorry.
Goal at Brammel Lane
Shef Utd 0 Wigan 1
Bloody, hell, they have scored now. Now play for a 0-0, lads. The Blades will go down - lovely jubbly.
That means the Blades would be relegated by GD and ONE GOAL
Why didn't Roon shoot?
Someone tell Roon to save his puff for next weekend, eh? No need to exert yourself, Shrek.
West Ham don't look like they have much going forward today
It looks like United will score soon
That post-match press conference with Neil Warnock is destined to be an absolute classic!
I disagree - I don't think you're lads are that into it. Perhaps the fix is in? Good lads.
What that off the bar?
No, a clearing header by Wes
I agree that they are not at their best but they are starting to get all of the ball
A West Ham goal would mean that SH U would have to go all out for a goal. Then WH could get pegged back by United
Easy, Smudger, easy!
Close by Roon
Wigan nearly got a second there. It's all going wrong for the Blades. Lovely.
Blackburn are ahead of Reading.
My vote is for Pompey to get the European spot.
Everton, Spurs and Pompey.
Come on, beat the Gooners
The Hammers need to close things down a bit more. I'd have Bobby Zamora off right now and stick another defensive midfielder on. They don't need a goal!
Big Sam is a guest of honor at the Reebok. Why the hell isn't he managing?
I'd like that line-up for the UEFA. Shame that there were so many injuries for Newcastle this season - I've always had a soft spot for the Toon.
Next season - with Owen and Martins up front - could be a different story?
Marcus Hahnemann's been stretchered off now. You might be right about Pompey.
Great cross by Zamora and great clearing header by Brown
Great diving clearance from the 'Orrible Orange - not looking that 'orrible these days.
Jonathan Spector to come on.
Speaking of The Toon. They have scored against Watford.
Spurs have scored
Berbatov with another sensational goal.
Boy, I wish he was at OT
Spector's first thing to do... block the ball with his meat and two veg
He might well be next season. According to the lads at WSD, your main targets for the summer are Hargreaves, Torres, Tevez and Berbatov. What do you reckon?
West Ham have survived!!! What a series of plays
Oooh, that was close. Someone take Smithy's batteries out, quick!
Great save off the line by the Israli
A "£60 million header" from Benayoun. Whew!
Bugger, Bolton have score against Villa
Yeah, I agree. It could mean Bolton in the UEFA. Do you think Sammy Lee will stay on there?
Boro have scored against Fulham
United are going for it
I don't think this is looking good for West Ham.
As for Sammy Lee, I think Bolton may be a second half of the table team next season.
Yeah, what the hell?
Let's hope Everton win at Stamford Bridge so Jose loses at The Bridge
Reading have tied it up at Ewood
That's for nought if Bolton stay in the lead.
Goal at Brammel Lane
The Blades have tied it up.
Good news for West Ham.
I know we want SU to go down but let's just make WH safe
That's not how I'd like it.
Villa have equalized at Bolton
Citeh have got one back at WHL
The Arse have a Pen at Fratton
Penalty there against Wes Brown?
The Arse have missed the pen. Great save from by James.
A good chance for Tevez.
WH are getting a few chances right now
I'd say definitely. But then do United ever have penalties given against them at OT? Don't think so.
Nice header by O'shea
Fulham have scored an equalizer at the Riverside
No comment on that penalty, Dave? Hmmm....
Never a pen.
By the way, SHUT IT JOSE Dahlgren
You are joking! Look at it again. It's definite hand to ball.
Wigan have had a second player taken off for injury.
TEVEZ SCORES!!!
What a shocker
JOHNNY, where are you????
Now, come on Wigan
GOAL! Yes, great stuff from Tevez. That should keep them up.
Pen at Brammel to Wigan...and they score!!!!
UNITED GOING DOWN???
YES! The Blades are going down, the Blades are going down.
Can we have Rob Hulse back now?
This football lark is so exciting.
I want some Americans to see how this is so exciting with the scenario changing all the time.
West Ham are still not safe.
I could see United scoring more than one in the second half. They don't like to lose at OT and don't want to have WH do the double over United.
We may rue cheering for that Wigan goal
Wonder what Warnock is saying right now!!!
West Ham have jumped up to FIFTEENTH
Warnock is on the phone with his legal representation, no doubt. There will be some legal action this summer if these scores hold up.
Second half starting...
Did you hear that fact about the last time West Ham did the double over United? They needed a win to survive the drop. United went on to win the cup the following week.
Viduka scores his second.
Boro up 3-1
Watford score an early equalizer against the Toon
Could happen again.
Big Mark Viduka has got his second at the Riverside. 3-1.
YES, CHELSKI 0 EVERTON 1
Nice one. Y'know, Fulham are lucky, lucky boys that Liverpool put out the scrubs a couple of weekends ago. They could well have gone down.
I agree.. they have a Yank to thank
Another chance for Tevez
Should have done better
Too right. It's been an all-American affair at Craven Cottage. Did you know that their top scorer (McBride), their second top scorer (Bocanegra) and the scorer of the goal that will keep them up (Dempsey) are all Yanks? Fairly impressive, eh?
Let's hope in continues. Coleman seemed to be a fan of the Americans. I wonder if Sanchez will be the same.
Wow, the commentator mentions LEEDS UNITED winning the championship
Ronaldo warming up
Oh dear, here comes the Diving Portugeezer.
Blackburn have taken the lead against Reading
Bugger, now Bolton have gone ahead again
Yep, name the captain and top scorer of our last championship side.
Bugger, the Drogs has scored the equalizer.
Wigan have gone close again. It's gonna be a long afternoon yet.
McAllistar capt. Chapman top scored
Nice one, lad.
Weber has hit the post for the Blades.
SCHOLES, GIGGS and RONALDO to come on.
Not bad reserves
Bolton back in the lead - that should wrap up the UEFA spots - Everton, Spurs, Bolton.
What's Fergie playing at? Did Curbs not have the crate of Bell's dropped off in the dressing room earlier?
Moyes has been sent to the stands because of his agruing about the equalizer. There was a foul in the build up
The Pool have tied it up
Reading have tied it up
Is Drogba the top scorer in the Premiership then?
Yes, he is ahead of McCarthy and and Ron
Into the last half hour around the country. Still all to play for
West Ham bringing on a striker?
Bloody Hell
Michael Owen is being carried off on a stretcher!!!
I think it is a head injury. Nothing to do with his leg
Oh dear, don't say it! We need him for next month!
Boa Morte had a chance at the back post. Should have done better. I guess Tevez's jump put him off
Rovers have scored a third against Reading
Charlton have taken the lead again at Anfield
Please, not one in red get hurt
Ronaldo with a free kick and he hits the wall AGAIN!!!
I've just had a look at the predictions on the blog from last August. Do you remember who you predicted for the drop?
Oh, Boa Morte's hit the post!
Off the post by West Ham. I think the Ref called the foul on him
Alvin Martin in the studio on Talksport is doing his nut
I am not feeling that confident for West Ham.
If United score, they will score another.
We are pushing it having Wigan winning
I reckon the commentators are right; ManYoo won't risk injury as they get closer to the end of the match. The real danger is over.
Sheffield United have had a penalty claim turned down. Warnock must be doing his nut!
What a save by Green. He didn't know much about it.
Ronaldo can really get up there
Reading have tied it up again at Ewood.
They have been a real credit.
Wigan are down to TEN MEN!!!!
Grandstand finish.
If West Ham don't score another, I am looking for a Blades goal.
Bolton have been pegged back by Villa.
Come on Pompey, get a goal
Bit early for the corner flag shenanigans from Boa Morte. They should just try to stroke the ball about in the midfield.
No goals in either match, please. We like things as they are.
Bolton have been pegged back again. That last UEFA Cup spot is up for a grabs again. A last minute winner for Reading or Pompey could snatch it.
Spurs have a penalty... saved
Was that a pen for United??? i don't think so
Sean Mullins on - good change.
I SAID NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If Villa hold on... they would have started the season without losing in the first nine games and finish unbeaten in the last nine
Pool have a Pen... it has to be Fowler to take it
Should be - I've heard Robbie's on his way to the Revs soon.
It can't be. He had been subbed.
Ex White Kewell burries it
From 365: "Incredible stuff at Bramall Lane! A whole series of goal-mouth scrambles are somehow kept out by the Wigan defence. Stats show there has been 1% of play in the Sheffield United half."
I'd take Harry Kewell back in the MLS too.
Great short corner from the Hammers
Pompey have only got a draw.
They are out of Europe
What a shot by Richardson. I thought that was in.
Disappointing end to the season for both Pompey and the Arse. Arse drop to fourth behind Pool. Pompey out of the UEFA.
Into injury time
THEY LOOK SAFE
Into stoppage time - West Ham must be safe now.
Nice shot from Scholes.
I know you will yell at me but I want a United equalizer
Another great save from Rob Green - should be in the England set-up.
I don't believe you!! What does it matter?!
We don't lose at OT
Five minutes to be added at Br Lane
You just have!
It's OVER
CONGRATULATIONS WEST HAM AND JOHNNO
Congratulations, Sir Trev... wherever you are.
Well deserved by the Hammers.
Last minute at Brammel Lane
Weeks ago, they thought they were safe but it is over and Sheffield United are DOWN!!!!!!!
They're done - stick a fork in them!
FT at Bramall - I can just imagine the Blades faithful crying now. Loving it.
Are you going to watch Presentation?
Great results today - you lot lose, the Hammers stay up and the Blades go down. Couldn't have happened any better. Enjoyed sharing it with you, mate. Sorry again that I can't be with you next weekend. I'm going to try to find a congenial Irish pub down here.
Well, the offer is still open.
Speak to you later
What the hell was FSC doing?
Leaving the presentation to see the bottom of the table
Great scenes
Power has been off since 10 pm last night. . . . Just came back on . . . I'll write more later . .. That's a sweet double!!!!
