We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Sorry to miss out on the banter this morning, Dave. I'm up in D.C. this weekend and caught the England-Estonia match at the vaunted Lucky Bar in Dupont Circle.
In truth, it wasn't much of a game. Once we were two up, we took our foot off the gas, particularly when the injury to Cashley came. They seemed really nervous about picking up any more injuries in the second half with the Russia game to come in mid-week. Job well done, basically.
Now we just need Croatia and Israel to duel out a draw with lots of blood and guts and perhaps some injuries and suspensions to the Russians and we'll be all set.
