Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

ManYoo have finally broken their scoring drought and are cruising it against Wigan 4-0 with goals from Ronaldo, Tevez and Roon.
Full-time in that early, Setanta match and ManYoo go top on twenty points after that stonking win against Wigan - 4-0.
Wow, now that's interesting. Since there's no live game on FSC for once, FSC has switched over to the live feed from Sky with "Soccer Saturday." It's Jeff Stelling and the usual panel with Phil Thompson et al. Excellent stuff! Why can't they do this every weekend?
And Swansea have popped an away goal in at Leyton Orient, which means that we're only seven points off the top now. Super!
This is really cool. It feels like I'm on the pull-out couch in my parents' front room in London, watching Chris Kamara reporting on a match. Magic!
West Ham have nearly taken the lead there; it looked as if the Villa defender had handled the ball into the net, but it's gone behind and it's merely a yellow card.
The top of the Championship is looking ominous with Watford riding high. Do we really want to see those mugs back up in the Prem next season?
Interesting. Jeff Stelling reminds us that the League Two match between MK Dons and Bradford was a Premiership match five years ago. Crikey!
Carlisle have leaped over five teams into second place in Division One with just one goal against lowly Millwall.
In the top of the table match in the Championship, Southhampton are 2-0 over the Baggies.
Craig Gardner has thumped a free kick in for Villa, who now lead the Hammers 1-0. Sorry, Trev.
My Leeds boys have dropped down to 16th as a number of teams around us are leading including Northhampton and Doncaster.
Excellent stuff; Phil Thompson has just been having a good chuckle over an assistant referee in his match having to go off with a hamstring injury. You miss out on this kind of humor on FSC.
Hey, I am home. I had to leave for Rec soccer with the score nil nil. I am a happy camper.
I am glad FSC are doing this.
England are beating Australia by two points with ten minutes to go!!
COME ON, BEAT THE AUSSIES
Tranmere have gone top of the table on 19 points with a goal against hapless Southend.
I guess they are staying on Sky for only an hour. I hope they stay longer
Not much happening at Elland Road so far. If anything, Yeovil have had more chances. (Perish the thought).
Way hay, Blubber. The Tractor Boys have taken the lead against PNE.
ENGLAND HAVE BEATEN THE AUSSIES
Bloody hell, England have beaten the Aussies in rugger - what a result!
Sorry, Dave, I hadn't noticed you on the blog. Morning, lad! I'm glad you're enjoying the Soccer Saturday. It's magic, isn't it?
I love it!!!
I wish they wouldn't leave at 11
Excellent, Southend have tied it up against Tranmere. I like it. Keeps it tight at the top.
Love the banter:
Stelling: You signed him for Walsall.
Merson: Yeah, he didn't score for me.
Stelling: That's why you're here.
Merson: That's why he's playing for Kidderminster!
What's at 11? Serie A boredom?
Great.
I like the
"Scot eating humble pie down the end"
Premier League Show.
They should stay here
I'm going to write them and tell them we'd prefer this stuff to the canned Premiership productions. This is cracking stuff!
Right there with you
BTW, did you check who is on top of the PREM!!!!!
Hey, I just woke up and they have the Skysports panel thing on tellie and that's what I'm watching.
Now if they'd just do the preview show as well!
Morning, Gooner! Yeah, I think we need to start an email campaign to get Stelling and co. on every Saturday morning. If they'd stick the Preview show on early, say 8 a.m. and then have an hour "Soccer Saturday" lead-in to the first match, that would be ideal, don't you think? Of course, they might argue that that's going to cut into their precious infomercial schedule.
Ah, Ian Harte. We miss you at the Elland.
Did you lot see the squad for England's upcoming qualifiers? Macca seems to be sticking with Robbo - your thoughts?
Yikes!!! After the Villa game???
Who else is there really?
Here's the squad:
Robinson (Tottenham), James (Portsmouth), Carson (Liverpool, on loan at Aston Villa), Richards (Man City), Brown (Man Utd), Ferdinand (Man Utd), Terry (Chelsea), A Cole (Chelsea), P Neville (Everton), Campbell (Portsmouth), Lescott (Everton), Shorey (Reading), Wright-Phillips (Chelsea), Gerrard (Liverpool), Barry (Aston Villa), J Cole (Chelsea), Downing (Middlesbrough), Lampard (Chelsea), Young (Aston Villa), Bentley (Blackburn), Owen (Newcastle), Rooney (Man Utd), Smith (Newcastle), Ashton (West Ham), Defoe (Tottenham), Johnson (Everton), Crouch (Liverpool).
I'd got with this side against Estonia:
1. Carson
2. Richards
3. Rio
4. A Cole
5. Gerrard
6. SWP
7. J Cole
8. Roon
9. Owen
10. Crouch
11. Smith
We seem to be turning the screw against Yeovil now. Just need that goal.
Wow, Orient are now 0-3 down to Swansea. What a turnup!
Orient are losing FOUR NIL
Ouch! What's going on there. Meanwhile Tranmere have popped up on the top again. We're still at 0-0.
Looks like Leeds need another late goal.
Yeah, definitely.
What's this now? Oh, it's Fox Matchday Special. They just can't make their minds up, can they?
How does Landycakes get the Player of the Year award this year when his team will most likely not make the playoffs?
Into the last two minutes.
About the time for Leeds to score
I am on the phone with brother Tony as I type. He sends his regards. He also says that for the first time in his life, he is actually wanting Leeds to win football matches.
LEEDS JUST SCORED!!!!!!!
I don't believe it
THREE POINTS OFF THE PLAYOFFS AND SIX POINTS OF THE TOP!!!
WHERE ARE YOU BOB!!!!!
Leyton Orient are five down
Full time at Elland Road
ANOTHER WIN!!!!!!
Yes! I stepped away for a moment and we've scored another late one. Thank you Dave and thank you Michael for your thoughts. Yes! Come on you Whites!
Villa beat the Hammers.
Sorry Bob, it was Tony!!!!
I just got this from sister Debbie.

Hi Tony,
My brother is reading this right now
Hi to the whole Nocito family!
Another incredible late-on win for us today. As Dave reported, it puts us in 12th place, three points off play-off spots, six points off the top. Of course it would be even better without the points deduction. We'd be top and running away with it, nine points ahead!
Long may it continue
Looks like Dean Ashton has hurt his knee. He will miss the England game again
Orient are next up at Elland Road!!
They have just been hammered FIVE NIL at home!!!
