All eyes on Stamford Bridge where "The Special One" makes his return to action tonight.
In the other CL fixture tonight, Sevilla are at home to CSKA Moscow.
Wigan host Villa in the only Premiership fixture tonight. Wigan are currently on 28 points and sliding toward relegation. They really need at least a point tonight.
Meanwhile, Villa could close the gap on Citeh who lost at the weekend.
Not a tremendous amount involved in the four L1 fixtures tonight. About the most interesting one involves Swindon away to the Saints. Swindon could vault up to level third place with a win. Of course, I'm hoping the Saints will do them in after their terrific performance against us at the weekend.
The first link on Atdhe has a nice ITV stream up with the usual crazy gang of Ruud Gullit and co in the studio ahead of the big match at Stamford Bridge.
Hello Blue Devil.Should be some interesting matches.
I know the Chelsea match is not being televised. Will you be viewing that match online.
Surprising team news coming out of the Inter camp. A very very attacking side from Jose including Sneijder, Milito and Eto'o. That would indicate that Jose believes that his side can beat Chelski on their own terms tonight. They won't just be trying to protect their 2-1 lead.
CSKA vs Sevilla ready to begin.
Chelski on the other hand have that precious away goal to build upon.
The only name unfamiliar to us is third string keeper Ross Turnbull who gets the start due to the absences of Cech and Hilario.
Otherwise, it's very similar to the side that coasted the match on Saturday including the in form trio of Anelka, Malouda and Drogs up front.
Inter's only chance of beating Chelski is to attack them. They don't stand a chance if they sit on their lead.
Hey Guys
I have the Chelsea match going on MSG Plus.
Are you sure there isn't a Fox channel that is showing the Chelsea match?
FSC has the Sevilla one and Chelsea is on this one
HD as well
Afternoon, MUR. Great to have you around this afternoon.
Inter kick us off!
THey're off
Are you watching Chleski online and if so on what link?
Bob, i notice that Leeds have a match on Monday next week. Surely, there will be a link for that one
Afternoon, Dave. Plenty of links up on line for the match if it isn't on your telly.
The Chelski match will be on FSC at 6 EDT and CDT.
Zhirkov looks as if he'll have his hands full with Samuel Eto'o tonight. The Cameroonian looks up for it.
Yeah - we're at home to Millwall on Monday instead of playing on the weekend. Should be able to get a link for that one. It's crucial!
I know that Chelsea are on tape delay on FSC but it is being shown on MSG Plus here.
Look for it
I'm on the first Atdhe link, Dave.
All Inter at this point. Sneijder tries one but it's blocked by Alex.
Eto'o goes down heavily under a challenge but the referee isn't impressed.
Re: our conversation about Serie A last week, the Guardian podcast confirmed that UEFA have already decided to reduce their slots from four to three in the 2012/13 season and may do so the year before based on this season's results.
Hey... I got a nice HD on my tv!!!
Tom just showed me this new pepsi commercial for the WC
Take a look at half time
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9sE4GaFekI
Thanks - will do!
Oh - Bollocks shoots just wide of goal.
Chelski are giving too many free kicks away in dangerous areas here. Zhirkov's really struggling with Eto'o.
Sneijder delivered a juicy ball in but Milito just couldn't get on the end of it.
Drogba and Lucio square up with each other.
Now a free kick that seems right up Alex's alley. Maybe Drogs too.
I am having trouble finding a streaming video of the match. Can you tell me which site you are viewing the match from?
15 minutes in and no score.
HAVE YOU LOOKED ON YOUR TV MUR!!!
Little action from the other match other than a few rash challenges from CSKA.
Yeah - I'm on http://www.atdhe.net
The first link for the match is working, albeit with non-English commentary.
I have a SS link going strong on Justin tv
Try this page

The Chelsea match is delayed on TV. It is not being televised live. I am looking for something live if possible.
Thanks for the links UWS and Blue Devil.
You might also try Channel 1 on VSS:
http://livevss.net/channel1.php
I don't watch that one at work because I'm nervous about the pornographic pop-ups.
Great block by Maicon on Drogba there. He was nearly in there.
For some reason my usual source of scores - Football 365 - isn't updating them tonight. It's almost as if they think the matches haven't kicked off!
I thought Chelsea would be doing better here
I don't want Jose to win!1
I am watching on livevss.net. Thank you UWS and Blue Devil.
Another long free kick chance for Alex here....
Not a lot.
Goal for Villa at DW Stadium!
OG
Half an hour gone and this tie is still on a knife's edge.
Your thoughts on Phil Brown's next move, lads?
Dear oh dear - Eto'o made a complete mess of that header. It was a peach of a cross but Eto'o must be been assuming that Terry would cover it. He knocked it straight into the ground.
Wigan tie it up right away
Cambridge beating Salisbury 2-1
Not sure, but I'm thinking Phil Brown might get a job in the championship. Eto'o should have scored with a header. That was an excellent opportunity.
Forest still losing at Barnsley. Looks like The Toon and Baggies going up!
So it looks like the play off winner and WBA to go down next season!
Wigan have equalized only seconds after that bizarre own goal gave Villa the lead. Caldwell with a powered header past Friedel.
1-1!
I heard that Phil Brown is going to take over at either the Emirates or Elland Road!
Eto'o has bought himself another cheap free kick in a dangerous area.
Free kick chance for Inter...into the wall
CSKA go 1-0 up away to Sevilla and 2-1 up on aggregate. Inter seem to be dominating Chelski at Stamford Bridge.
WBA are definitely one of those trivia sides. Something like:
"How many times have WBA been relegated in their first season back in the Premiership?"
I really want the English side to win but if they don't, will this be an advantage for them in the league?
CSKA Moscow take the lead in Spain
1-1 immediately now
That's got to be advantage CSKA then. Another Spanish side threatened with the knock-out punch.
Ooooh - Samuel with a brilliant block from Malouda. He was nearly in.
Sevilla with a quick equalizer. 1-1 on the night and 2-2 on aggregate. Level on aggregate. 62 seconds between the goals.
Oh - now Anelka has a chance cleared. Inter's keeper Julio Cesar is down injured now.
How did Chelski not get a penalty. Samuel with a rugby tackle on Drogs. Really obvious and blatant.
Half time at the Bridge - 0-0.
I'm off to the library; back in a tick.
Halftime.Chelski dominant at the end of the half and unlucky not to win a penalty. Level on aggregate between CSKA and Sevilla.
Take a look at the link for Pepsi
Interesting vid, Dave. Is the message there that South African fans will cheat in order to win?
Second half ready to begin.
No changes as yet as Chelski kick off the second half at the Bridge. Joe Cole is warming up. Jose will be relatively pleased but remember that one Chelski goal would change everything.
Drogs free kick trickles harmlessly to Julio Cesar.
Maicon with a great ball out to Eto'o but the Cameroonian completely wasted it. He's been disappointing tonight.
CSKA 2-1 up against Sevilla who need two to advance
A bit too much chat from Lucio has got him a suspension from the next match.
I think that is the message!
Chelsea NEED to score!
Back in tic
So in terms of the quarter finals, so far we have:
Arsenal
Bayern
Lyon
United
Now it looks like CSKA and this one's up for grabs. Tomorrow, I expect Barca and Bordeaux to get through.
So we have two English, two French, one German, one Russian, one Spanish and either another English or an Italian side in the quarters. Interesting.
Speaking of players having to perform under unusual conditions (in the Pepsi ad, top players are playing a pick up match in the bush), one of my favorite bits of Grant Wahl's book "The Beckham Experiment" is that Abel Xavier's response to anything out of the ordinary in terms of conditions at the Galaxy was to bellow - "This is NOT correct!" Marvelous.
Nearly an hour gone, then. Surely it's time for Ancelotti to make his move. This tie is eking away from the Blues now.
Looks like the change will be Joe Cole but who will he replace? I'd have Mikel off.
Last ditch tackle by Zhirkov on Pandev prevents an Inter goal. Inter with pressure in the last few minutes.
Andy Gray is predicting that Bollocks time is nearly up.
Yep - here he comes. I'm disappointed. This is no time for weak knees. They've already got four defenders on - why on earth do they need a defensive mid on when they need a goal.
Yes Cole on for Bolloks. I agree with Blue Devil. I would have chosen Mikkel.
Swindon did what Leeds couldn't... they scored at St. Mary's
Inter trying to weave some Arsenal-like patterns in the Chelski half, just eating away the minutes. Chelski desperately need to get possession back.
Bugger - that's not good!
Oh - Milito misses a complete sitter and Jose is not happy on the bench. That should have been curtains for Chelski.
The Tractor Roys losing at Vicarage Road!
Chelski lucky not to be 1-0 down. Melitto drags his shot wide when one on one with the goalie.
Inter have been good value tonight, to be fair.
Nasty one from Malouda. Lucio struck the bottom of his boot.
Should have been off according to SS
So Swindon are now fourth but level with Charlton on 66 points. Just what I need - another team to worry about.
Barnsley double their lead against Forest
Down to the last twenty minutes. Maybe another change in order?
Villa have retaken the lead through Milner
Milito gets a cheap one against JT there. Eats away more time. The Inter ultras are louder than the Chelski ones now.
Another chance goes begging from the free kick - was that Pandev with the header over?
There's no rhythm to Chelski's play at this point. They're just throwing things forward.
I want them to win tonight but let's hope they play like this at Blackburn next Monday
My ITV stream has gone down so I've got an Arabic one up on Atdhe now.
The Tractor Roys have tied it up!
I don't think it is an ITV link. Tony said that Sky had it tonight. ITV have it tomorrow
Oh dear - Kalou balloons one over the top. I saw that Stankovic came on - who came off there.
Preston were 2-0 up but now 2-2 with Wednesday...on Tuesday
Chelski with the possession, but no chances on target.
Oh Dear!!!
Eto has scored for Inter!!!
Chelsea need two!!
He was onside
Sorry Tony!
I am on your side tonight... ONLY tonight
That's torn it - Eto'o with the killer goal. Chelski need two now.
That's the tie over then. Terry played Eto'o onside and failed to mark him. Great finish.
United handled these guys quite comfortably last season.
Is this advantage Chelsea for the league?
Sorry, Chelskilad. Not your night.
You know what I'm going to say!
Julio Cesar goes into the book for time wasting. That's silly - Inter will win this one easily now. There's no way Chelski are scoring two in the last ten minutes.
Yup... I know... you tosser!!!
Forest get a goal back
Two goals in 8 minutes
United scored that in 3
Watford retake the lead against the Tractor Roys
So in the quarters, that's:
2 English teams
2 French
1 German
1 Italian
1 Russian
1 Spanish
I will ignore that intemperate remark.
Well, there are two games tomorrow... you already now the scores?
More time wasting - Sneijder trots off slowwwwwwly.
I won't be able handle listening to Jose about him being the reason for the win!
I truthfully thought Chelsea were going to stroll through and United and Arsenal struggle
Little do I know
I'm guessing that Barca and Bordeaux won't blow it.
Drogba's off!
Drogba is off!!!!!
What did he do?
At least he isn't screaming at the camera
Paul Merson thinks it was on purpose
Yes - he was bundled over by Tiago and then stamped on him. The Inter player really made a meal of it rolling about like a little girl.
So that's the last two seasons that Drogs has ended his CL campaign by getting sent off and presumably starts the next campaign with a lengthy ban.
Andy Gray isn't sure
Drogba off. Hard to tell from the video if he made contact with a player.
Remember, he was sent off in the Final against United as well!
It looked like it to me but it might just be really good acting by Tiago Mussa.
That's what I've just said!
I thought you meant this season and last season... that makes two!
CSKA have won 2-1
Swindon down to ten men but still beating Sotton
Great save by Turnbell... that was #2 written all over it
West Brom are winning two nil at Swansea
Chelski0 Inter 1 Chelski out of Europe.
That's it
Sorry Tony!!
Favorites for the league... surely
Take care
UWS
So that's it - Chelski's CL season is over. Inter are celebrating in front of their traveling fans as if they've won something.
My prediction is United, Barca, Arsenal and Inter in the semis if there isn't a weird draw.
Cheerio, lads! I'm off home now.
Cheers see you tomorrow.
I'm back on Wednesday afternoon to follow the Champions League and other fixtures tonight.
The main attraction is Barcelona v. Stuttgart. The CL champions take a 1-1 draw back with them to Camp Nou. Should be a piece of cake for the Catalans.
In the other CL fixture, Bordeaux take a 0-1 away win against Olympiacos in the first leg back with them for the home leg.
Newcastle have a chance to extend their lead at the top of the Championship to four points with a nice easy game against relegation strugglers Scunthorpe.
In L1, yesterday's matches leave all of the top six except Colchester (6th) level on games played (36). Today's match between Exeter and Bristol Rovers make much of a difference.
The teams are in for tonight's big match:
Barcelona: Valdes, Dani Alves, Pique, Puyol, Maxwell, Busquets, Toure Yaya, Iniesta, Messi, Henry, Pedro. Subs: Pinto, Marquez, Ibrahimovic, Bojan, Keita, Milito, Jeffren.
Stuttgart: Lehmann, Celozzi, Niedermaier, Delpierre, Molinaro, Trasch, Kuzmanovic, Khedira, Hleb, Cacau, Pogrebnyak. Subs: Stolz, Osorio, Boulahrouz, Marica, Gebhart, Rudy, Hilbert.
Afternoon, MUR. I agree - not a lot going on in the English leagues today. All eyes on the Camp Nou then. Are you watching?
Messi - best player in the world? I don't know....
Yes I am watching.Since I normally work during the week I am wondering if LOB does the Europa league matches since they are not nearly as important as CL matches.
Barca get us underway then....
We're always up for some soccer chatter here at the LOB. Are you around for the Europa League tomorrow afternoon?
I may be biased, but on current form I would pick Wayne Rooney as the best player in the world at the moment.
Henry is fed by Messi and forces a corner out of Mad Jens.
I will be available for Europa League action.
Henri and Jens were teammates at the Gooners. Another old boy reunion.
I'd agree. I'm really hoping that Roon proves that this summer for England. To my mind a player only becomes truly great when he carries a team to victory in the World Cup (e.g., Pele, Maradona, Zidane, Ronaldo)
Yes - the ITV blokes were talking about how Jens has a score to settle with Barca after having been sent off in the opening minutes of the final with them a few years back.
Excellent - it'll be interesting to see what happens to Liverpool tomorrow.
I think that was four years ago. I remember it was a rash challenge and the referee had the option of playing the advantage and letting a goal stand instead of sending Mad Jens off.
Danny Alves did well there to cover for his center backs. He's not really known for his defending but his pace helped out there.
Stuttgart are giving it a go here. They know they'll need to score because of the away goals rule.
I am hoping that the match takes a lot out of Costa and perhaps they might be too tired to put forth a strong effort against us three days later.
Messi tries one but it's a weak effort really. Easily saved by Lehmann.
This should make for an open match as we are witnessing in the first few minutes.
I think that's a realistic hope. A loss would also further damage Pool morale.
I quite like this Cacau guy from Stuttgart. I don't know him well but apparently he's part of the German national team set-up. Has has a few appearances and may play a role this summer.
Another former Gooner in Hleb. Henri dribbles through the Stuttgart defense, but drags his shot wide.
Yes - although I don't know any Gooners who miss Hleb. Henry is a different case. He seems up for it tonight.
GOAL! Oh my - that was a quite spectacular goal from Messi. Great run and a fabulous strike.
1-0 Barca!
Goal 1-0. What a shot by Messi. Dribbles through the Stuttgart defense then rockets a left foot shot in the top left hand corner. No chance for Jens.
On the replay, the Stuttgart defenders really backed off him and gave Messi far too much respect. Someone should have dived in even at the expense of a free kick.
That goal doesn't really change things, though. Stuttgart always needed a goal. And they nearly got one there. The referee blows for impeding the keeper but that was messy in the Barca backline.
Agreed. Messi showed what he is capable of if you give him too much time. I agree with you about Cacao. Germany seem to lack creativity in midfield. Cacao could be starting for Germany this summer. That cost Germany against Spain in the Euro 2008 final.
If Stuttgart equalize and the score remains unchanged then we would face extra time.
Goal 2-0 Barcelona. Superb passing move and finished by Pedro. Too easy. Stuttgart now need two goals. It is now an uphill battle for Stuttgart.
I really don't care who face in the quarters as long as its not Barcelona.
Blimey - a student came by for a moment and I notice that Barca have added to their lead. Thanks for the description of the Pedro goal. I'll look forward to the replay.
No problem. Extra time is not a possibility.
The Gooner has a conspiracy theory based on Platini's obvious animosity toward English sides that has United and Arsenal getting bad draws in the quarters. Before yesterday's result, he was predicting United v. Arsenal and Barca v. Chelski - that won't happen now.
Oh - Henry was inches away from connecting on that Yaya Toure cross.
Platini's animosity is pure jealousy.Nobody had a problem when the wealthy sides were from Spain and Italy back in the 80s and 90s. Now there is a problem. Just a case of sour grapes.
There has to be something lingering from his playing days as well. I can imagine his coming up against some crunching tackles against the likes of Liverpool during his time playing in France and Italy.
I really don't see a way back for Stuttgart in this match. They seem to have run out of ideas. It is far too easy for Barcelona.
That could be although Liverpool were more of a footballing side than the other English teams at that time. Maybe Souness left a few stud marks on his ankles.
Liverpool certainly were a footballing side but Souness and co also knew how to take care of themselves. Continental defenders have always favored the shirt tug over the scything tackle and they weren't accustomed to the full-blooded English tackle.
I agree with you. It's a huge ask for Barca now.
Sorry - make that Stuttgart.
Free kick to Barcelona. It seems as though the Stuttgart defenders are in on our conversation about physical play. Messi free kick harmlessly wide.
I thought Molinaro was in there but the ref blew up for holding. Unlucky.
Messi was clean through there but chose to feed Henry instead of going it alone. Howls of protest about an apparently backpass picked up by Jens.
Seemed like a soft free kick. Barca were one pass away from 3-0 on the following possession.
Nearly half time then...
Free kick for Stuttgart. Probably their last chance of the half here. Rubbish free kick.
Jens picks up a yellow card. I have never really liked him. He really is an idiot in my opinion.
Peep peep....there goes half time. I'm going to grade a few papers and I'll see you on the other side of the interval.
Rash tackle by Cacao. Hleb booking for dissent. Halftime. Barca 2-0 up and in complete control of the tie.
Teams back out on the pitch for the second half. We're about to get underway again. Stuttgart have it all to do.
