Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Good riddance

I've seldom been as proud to be an Arsenal supporter as I am today upon hearing that the final straw for this pest was Nick's last gasp winner on the weekend. And I'm really happy that he clung to the branch just long enough for us to knock him off.

If only they would have allowed Cesc to deliver the P45... in street clothes... by gobbing on his head. Sod-off Son of Sam!

Marvelous news! Couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke.

Btw, just in case you missed it, here's Jimmy Bullard's goal celebration again - IMHO it was the beginning of the end of Phil Brown's tenure at Hull City.

I don't get this video. Was it real?

I don't know why you are so against him. He brought Hull in the top tier for the first time in the club's history and then kept them up

Nah - it's obviously something that some wag has cobbled together from bits and pieces from Soccer Saturday. I'll tell you what is real though - Phil Brown sacked!

He's cut from the same cloth as his mentor, Allardyce. The only success he's had was when his team roughed up and fouled a better footballing side. I just don't see the point of a side with Steven Hunt, or one that blunts the creativity of a Jaimie Bullard by assigning him the task of hustling.

Brown lied about Cesc and whipped up an anti foreigner frenzy instead of putting his hand up and admitting that the 11 he had couldn't handle a Premiership side without resorting to brutality.

I hope Tango pisses off into a lower league as a #2, never to be heard from again.

I agree with MUR. Where would Hull City be if Phil Brown had not been hired. They would be struggling in the Championship or in League 1. He took Hull City to the top flight and kept them up. They still have a great chance of surviving. I was watching Sky Sports News and saw that Hull City hired Ian Dowie. He has not been exactly the most successful manager and in my opinion is no better a manager than Phil Brown. I do expect to see Hull City in the championship in August. They are really better off without Phil Brown.

The last sentence was meant sarcastically.

Point taken, MUR. I just think it's a shame that the financial imbalance between the big four and the rest in the Premiership means that clubs like Hull have to thug it up and play Route 1 in order to have any chance of survival in the top league.

So 14 months ago. Sadsuma Brown got a reprieve from the governor at the 11th hour last year, and since May of 2009 has led them disastrously down the toilet. Were it not for that there were 3 crapper sides last year, IF he were at Hull, he'd be slugging it around in the Championship. But what's he doing now? Relegation mired, a laughing stock after his antics were mocked by his captain in this year's best goal celebration, and in charge of a riven squad who train and brawl in a public park.

Yeah, he's been great for Hull.

Piss off Tangerine, no more to be seen...
