Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

There are no radio feeds for these games available in any way are there?
I've dvr-d the Anderlecht match because of all the least probable outcomes of that diletente Sascha Klestjan's move there, he's playing. And scoring. The Belgian league must be pap.
Hi Someone!
Try Radio Five Live through the BBC at:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/5live/
There don't seem to be any televised Carling Cup matches on this afternoon, so I've dialed up Gillette Soccer Special on Sky through this link:

Chris Coleman, Paul Jewell, Ian Dowie and Alan McAnally on the panel tonight. Definitely the B-team.
Big news out of Palace tonight is that 37-year old Edgar Davids makes his debut....at left back!
I would hate to be the Pompey boy out on the right wing. You know that he's going home in a body-bag because Davids will grind his ankles into dust.
Though this is my all-time favorite Edgar Davids moment.

Sorry, that's a dead link.
This should work.

Alas poor Giles Grimandi - I knew him Horatio!

7. Max Gradel
14. Jonathan Howson
8. Neil Kilkenny
16. Bradley Johnson
10. Luciano Becchio
27. Davide Somma
Close to the starting eleven with Kasper getting a well deserved breather tonight.
Kick-off time!
Dear oh dear - poor Blackpool. They're already 1-0 down to the Dons.
Way hay - our LOB friend Steve Caldwell (or is it his doppelganger?) has scored for Wigan away to lowly Hartlepool. Ah no -it's been given as an o.g. Shame.
Scrappy so far at Elland Road according to Paul Jewell, who has certainly seen his fair share of scrappy football over the years.
Hull City have gone 0-1 up against L1 side Brentford.
Oh - Jewell thinks we should be 1-0 up through Becchio who has missed a good chance. Come on, Luciano!
Where's my boy Sanchez?
You what? You what? You what? You what? You what?
Morecambe have taken a shock lead against Burnley, only relegated from the Premiership last season.
No Sanchez today - Neil Kilkenny has taken his spot in the starting XI but again he might just be having a rest for the match at Watford on Saturday. He is on the bench.
Still scrappy at Elland Road, according to Paul Jewell.
Arsene played him in the opening rounds of our Carling campaign last year and he was sensational.
Darren Bent has put Sunderland into the lead against Colchester.
Sanchez been very good for us too, probably just behind Lloyd Sam as our best players. That's really helped as Luciano hasn't been firing on all cylinders and Billy Paynter's been injured.
Brentford have pegged Hull back to 1-1.
Leicester with two recent chances. Come on, you Whites!
The game's opening up at Elland Road now with chances for both sides.
Stoke have taken the lead against Shrewsbury.
Wolves have taken the lead through a penalty against Southend.
Premiership side WBA have taken the lead at the Orient.
YESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!
Gradel whips a ball in and our two-goal hero at the weekend David Somma has snatched it with a sharp header.
1-0 Leeds!
That's Somma's third goal this week and he's now level on three goals with top scorer Lloyd Sam.
Millwall have taken the lead through a Morison penalty against Boro.
Jay Bothroyd is scoring hat-fulls in the Championship and he's scored against for Cardiff tonight away to Peterboro.
Tranmere have gone in front against Swansea through a goal from our ex-big boy at Leeds Enoch Showumni.
Reading are in front at home to Northants through a Mills goal.
Bolton are 0-1 at St. Mary's against L1 Southhampton.
Darren Bent has a brace for Sunderland now. He's off to a good start this season.
Stoke are now 2-0 up - Tungay with the goal there.
The villainous Millwall are 2-0 up to Boro now. Boro are certainly not living up to the hype yet this season.
Half-time: Leeds go in 1-0 up. I'm a happy chappy so far. More of the same in the second half, lads.
Blackburn finally take the lead against Norwich as Chris Samba flicks on Morten Gamst Pedersen's long throw for Mame Diouf to nod in from close range.
Bloody hell - we've just kicked off and Becchio's missed another sitter. Goalkeeper prone and he's contrived to hit it right at the defender on the line. Mad scramble and it's gone out.
West Ham are still locked 0-0 against lowly Oxford. Not good times at Upton Park these days.
Notts County have taken the lead away to our Saturday opponents Watford.
Brett Ormerod will not be denied! Neal Eardley sends in a cross to the far post and there is Ormerod at the far post to head in from close range. Blackpool level at 1-1
An hour gone at Elland Road and we're still hanging on to a slim margin at 1-0.
David Nugent skips past a couple of defenders to fire Pompey 1-0 into the lead at Fratton Park against Palace.
Scunthorpe now 2-0 up over Sheffield Wednesday.
Two quick goals by Jermaine Easter have put the Dons back at 3-1 up over Blackpool.
Goals galore at MK Dons Ludovic Sylvestre's free-kick to the far post sails in without a touch to give Blackpool hope. MK Dons lead 3-2.
Bugger!
Wellens has equalized for Leicester in the 66th minute.
Leicester have their tails up now. We're under the cosh.
Sheffield Wednesday are down to 10 men and 3-0 down and out.
Notts County double their lead at Watford as Kevin Smith's close-range header gives his side a 2-0 lead.
Carlton Cole on for the Hammers, who are startiong to pick up the pace against Oxford.
Hey Bob,
I am back from my workshop. I knew CL games were on but no CC games
Still 1-1?
Leicester are now winning?
MK Dons still beating Blackpool 3-2
West Ham still scoreless against Oxford
Don't like Sky's new look. The printing is too small
Crewe and Ipswich still at 0-0.
Wigan are two up at Hartlepool... they can score!!
Hiya, Dave. I think it's 1-1. I haven't heard another goal come through on SS.
The Beeb still says 1-1 but Sky's score was 1-2
Peterborough equalise against Coventry as George Boyd supplies the pass for Mackail-Smith to rifle home. 1-1 at London Road.
You're scaring me to death! I know we're under the cosh.
Reading now 2-1 up.
Maybe it was my mistake but the score said 1-2 when it went to the old Wigan manager
Shane Higgs is having a blinder for us in goal. Still 1-1 as far as I can tell.
Does this go to extra time and pens or a replay tonight?
Inside the last ten minutes at the Elland.
What time is it, Dave?
3-3 now between the Dons and Blackpool!
4:27..... just kidding... it's Leeds time!
Blackpool have tied it up against the Dons
I would guess it is the same as the last round. It ends tonight
Shrewsbury back in the game at the Briatannia as Steven Leslie heads in at the far post. 2-1 Stoke lead.
Cheers, mate!
Palace are down to ten men but they'll level with Pompey at Fratton.
Pompey have been pegged back by Palace but the Eagles are down to ten men
It's a goal fest for Wigan - 0-3!
In the comments on the left of the screen... Leicester have a pen... and score. Sorry
Bloody hell! Leicester have scored from a rubbish penalty after Neil Collins handled for no apparent reason.
1-2 Leicester.
Millwall are two nil up against Boro
COME ON, YOU WHITES!!!!!!!!
Extra time at Upton Park now....Carlton Cole on.
Was that goal scored in the 80th or 90th?
Peterboro have scored a late, late one. 2-1 over Cardiff.
The other Boro... Peter... take the lead against Bellamy's lot
Must be the 90th.
Seville losing to Braga
That's quite a shock.
Brentford take the lead against Hull!
Brentford have scored late over Hull.
Lots of shocks around the Carling Cup.
Late late goal at Upton Park... Scotty Parker scores a late winner!
Scott Parker has scored just before extra time. West Ham will go through.

Promotion all the way!
Millwall have won
Watford are losing at home to Notts County...surely you can win at Vicarage Road too

Mid-table. Rebuilding year. That's what we need.
That's quite a shock. Cardiff seem a dead cert for promotion now with Bothroyd, Chopra and Bellamy up front and Jason Koumas in midfield.
Brentford have knocked out Hull!
Brentford beat Hull
Extra time at Fratton
What shirts are Southampton wearing!!!!
Swansea seem to have finally won it - 1-3 over Tranmere.
Dunno - are you getting some video?
Diouff with a hat-trick for Blackburn.
Sevilla are out. Extra time being played at Anderlecht and Sampdoria.
They showed the end of the match and the Sotton shirt was white with a red diagonal line across it.
I am looking their website. I think the red and white stripes are gone
Wow - that's quite a change. Sounds like Peru!
It is a 125 anniversary kit. They are wearing it at home for the season!
No sponsors either
A picture is down the bottom of this link
http://footballfashion.wordpress.com/tag/league-one/
It does look like Peru. Well pictured!
So Basle, Hapoel Tel Aviv and Braga are through so far in the CL tonight. Do you fear any of those? Didn't think so.
Right - I'm off home, mate. Take care!
