Valeranga's best known player must be Canadian keeper Lars Hirschfeld, who had that clanger against the U.S in the Gold Cup, and was a reserve keeper at Spurs for a short while.
It is 0-0 four minutes into the match as Liverpool are in all red and Valeranga in all white.
The Scouse are predictably having a lion's share of the early possession and Glen Johnson wins an early corner from a great cross.
A great corner was completely missed by Andy Carroll. That should have been 1-0 Scouse.
Henderson wins a corner.
The low corner is cleared back to Scouse.
I know it is early , but Valeranga look no better than an MLS team.
Downing shot just wide, but the keeper had it covered.
Valeranga's manager formerly played with Wimbledon and Blackburn. He looks just like Hans Bakkhe.
WOW!! 1-0 VAleranga with virtually their first attack . They passed through the Scouse defense and Strand finished nicely in the corner.
To think Valeranga had been under the cosh for the entire match , then they virtually walk through unchallenged for that goal. Kenny does not look like a happy camper.
The Norwegian fans are in full voice as it was beginning to sound like the Highbury Library.
Valeranga have a penalty due to a clumsy challenge and a poor clearance by Glen Johnson. Casual defending.
2-0 as the penalty is shot into the top corner by Fedor Eguide.
As the announcer stated, this is not the script that Kenny wrote.
I think Eguide also won the penalty
Nearly 3-0 as Reina made a close range reflex save.
Now the Scouse are under the cosh.
The Scouse had two chances, most recently, A shot from Glen Johnson was cleared off the line form a corner.
The Scouse countered through Downing then a cross from Adam was cleared for a corner.
Bloody hell - the Scousesox are 2-0 down already? To this lot? Not a good day for Kenny and co. I don't really rate them for the upcoming season. Suarez is on fire but they've got several gaps in their side.
Reina caught a cross from Singh.
Hello BD. That is correct. The announcer thought the penalty was a joke, but I thought it was a great call.
A comfortable save from a long range effort by Reina.
That was disgraceful from Andy Carroll. He resorted to an obvious dive to try to win a penalty. Are the Scouse that desperate?
Carroll should have been booked.
The volley from Henderson caused more trouble for the corner flag than the keeper. the fans loved it.
Martin Andersen , the former Blackburn and Wimbledon player should be pleased with his side's performance.
The keeper does well to hold a long range effort from Agger.
The cross from Henderson is headed out for a corner.Carroll heads in from the short corner as Downing put in a great cross. Now it is 2-1.
There were cheers as the announcer stated on the PA that Carroll scored. There are a fair number of Scouse fans at the match.
Valeranga won a free kick that went miles wide.
Now Johnson dives to try and win a penalty. Two minutes of stoppage time.

Downing shoots straight at the keeper then the ref blows the halftime whistle as it is 2-1 Valeranga.
I'm glad to see Carroll scoring. I really like him and I hope he's one for the future for England.
The second is underway.
Nearly 2-2 as Charlie Adam shot just wide from long range. He had a quiet first half.

The cross from Downing would have been perfect if Andy Carroll was twenty feet taller.
It is still 2-1 as neither team has had a recent attempt on goal.
Skogmo is on for Strandberg as Valeranga make a change.
Reina does well to save a shot deflected off of Charlie Adam.
Singh has a shot deflected to Reina.
The Scouse are about to make a triple change. Jonjo Shelvey is warming up. I would have started him to see what he can do since he has lots of potential.

Young Robinson is deseervedly booked after being turned by Lee. He resorted to grabbing the entire jersey.
Jonjo Shelvey and two others came on as Kenny is ringing in the changes.
Charlie Adam and Robinson were replaced.
Strand , the scorer of the first goal, is replaced by Mohammed Fellah.
Martin Kelly was the other Scouse sub.
That should have been 3-1 as Lee was put through and had just Reina to beat , but shot straight at the keeper.
Spearing was taken to school by Lee. I guess Lee wants to teach the Scouse youngsters a thing or two.

More changes as Ngog and Aquillani are on for Downing and Henderson.

King Kenny was playing the role of ball boy.
What a superb save by Hirschfeld from Aquillani as that was a long rage effort. The rebound was cleared out for a corner.
GOAL !!! 2-2 AS AGGER HEADS IN A ROCKET FROM AN AQUILLANI CORNER.
There is about ten minutes remaining.
Just wide as Assou turn Kelly inside out then shoots just wide from a narrow angle.
Berre is on for Del Hagen.
Kelly's cross went across the face of the goal.
Kuyyt shoots just wide from just outside the box.
Another superb save as Hirschfeld tips over a long range rocket from Aquillani.
GOAL 3-2 SCOUSE AS AGGER SCORED OFF THE CORNER FROM AQUILLANI. KUYYT HEADED ACROSS THE FACE OF THE GOAL AND AGGER SHOT IN FROM CLOSE RANGE AT THE FAR POST.
The combination of Aquillani and Agger combine for two goals in five minutes and it appears that the Scouse will escape with what appeared an unlikely victory.
Five minutes of stoppage time!

Scousesox will have a friendly vs Valencia prior to the start of the EPL season.

GOAL 3-3 AS MOHAMMED FELLAH SCORES WITH A LONG RANGE ROCKET IN THE TOP CORNER AS HE TURNED JOHN FLANAGAN.
The final result is 3-3 as this was a thoroughly entertaining match. You should watch the replay at 11 PM. . I promise that you won't be disappointed. Cheers !
Cheers, MUR. Sorry I was too busy with meetings to join you today. Sounds like a corker but one that will give Kenny some more gray hairs. Definitely not the script that they would have written before hand.
