I'll be following the text from work. Anticipating a Leeds elimination!
Hoping your trip is going as well as it can.
Evening, Someone. To be honest, I'm expecting an Everton win as well, as I've heard that Jelavic will be fit for tonight. Ah well, at least we've got through two rounds of the League Cup and have a big televised match with plenty through the turnstiles. Can't say fairer than that.
hmmm, I've got 5Live's audio right now. Wonder if it's going to get cut when the match starts.
I hope he does not play and that Anichibe and Velios get some match play. Ovieto's playing as is Gueye.
The team news out of Elland Road tonight:
Leeds: Ashdown, Byram, Lees, Pearce, White, Brown, Austin, Tonge, Pugh, Becchio, Diouf. Subs: Kisnorbo, Drury, Varney, Gray, Poleon, Thompson, Rachubka.
Everton: Mucha, Heitinga, Oviedo, Mirallas, Naismith, Distin, Gueye, Coleman, Fellaini, Anichebe, Junior. Subs: Howard, Jagielka, Jelavic, Neville, Pienaar, Vellios, Duffy.
Referee: Lee Mason
Looks like you're going to get your wish tonight, SS. Jelavic is on the bench and Anichebe and Fellaiini are getting the start.
Benfica youth recruit Francisco Junior getting what I think is his first appearance.
Strangely Everton have never won the League Cup whilst Leeds last won it in 1968. Surely time for one of us to lift the silverware.
Agreed!
Wahay - the Sky coverage has started from Elland Road with Peter Reid in the studio.
Good afternoon/ evening BD and Someone. Surely a reflectologist won't be needed for this match.
I will probably follow by text too.The Capital One matches are not being televised in the U.S.
Bloody hell - Neil Warnock has just reminded us of Sheffield United's semi-final win over us back ten years ago when Phil Jagielka won the match with a 20 yarder. He's a Blade through and through - it's thoroughly disgusting to have him at Leeds.
Poor by Warnock. An absolute diasgrace.
SACK HIM CAPTAIN BIRDSEYE!
Evening, MUR - hope you're workday is going well. We've had a successful day with the shippers coming and a meeting with the solicitors taken care of. Everything's gone smoothly to date.
Agreed, MUR - I'll never accept Warnock as Leeds' manager.
It's been a decent day. I will be off for Yom Kippur tomorrow, but may be around for the afternoon action.Glad you had a successful day today
MOT blaring out over the tannoy now - marvelous atmosphere!
I have been Warnocking some students who thought they didn't think they had to do their work
Nice one, MUR - United v. Newcastle is the Sky match tomorrow night - should be a cracker.
Would you say my principal is a Warnock based on the email I forwarded.
Did you have to use the Fergie hairdryer, MUR?
And we're away at Elland Road. It's teeming down with rain in Yorkshire tonight.
Not really. I was just a little fussy and that seemed to be enough. Might need to next period. Is that reflectology?
Chelsea take an early lead vs Wolves.
YESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!
1-0 Leeds!
Dang. Gift for Leeds, poor defending.
Aidy White, you beauty! A marauding run by the defender and didn't he finish it well.
Sorry, mate. Early on though.
WOW ! An upset in the making?
Good news for BD and bad news for Someone.
It is what it is. Leeds fans are LOUD!
And now a tasty free kick opportunity.
Yeah - Elland Road is positively buzzing tonight. MOT!
Chelski are already 2-0 up over hapless Wolves. Crikey!
Chelsea lead Wolves 2-0
The Hammers have taken the lead vs Wigan. WHR will be pleased.
Good tackle there by Tom Lees on Anichebe. Saved a certain shot on goal.
Oh - Pearce got his head on that free kick from Spitty but it was wayward.
Hooper puts Celtic up 1-0 over the Raith Rovers.
The Hammers are 1-0 up over Wigan now.
Boro have taken the lead at Preston.
Chelsea up 3-0. Looks like that one's done already.
3-0 Chelski now - goals from Cahill, Bertrand and Mata.
Wigan have equalized at Upton Park.
Boro now lead 0-2 at Preston while Swindon have taken the lead vs Burnley. Wigan have tied it up at Upton Park
Halfway through the first half and still no real chances for Everton. Moyesy looks frustrated.
Spitty lunges in there and is lucky to get away with a ticking off.
Heitinga assassinates Becchio and sets up a decent free kick chance.
Wasted free kick there by Michael Tonge. Shame.
Oh - first chance there for Everton. Anichebe stabs it over the top. Phew!
Citeh take the lead vs Villa and Swansea take the lead at Crawley
Michu has scored for the Swans away to Crawley Town.
Raith tie it up at Celtic
Sheesh Celtic, come on now.
Everton showing some life, can't put anything together.
Sorry about that, Someone. Not a good night for you so far.
Burton are 0-2 up at Bradford City now. Soton have taken the lead against Wednesday. Not a big club.
Great ball through to Oviedo and we're lucky that he's flagged offside.
I'm listening to what I'm guessing is the Everton official announcing team and the color guy is extremely frustrated. What a mess of a half.
Aidy White again falls into a great position and strikes it straight at Mucha this time. Good half chance.
Well, the conditions are a mess to be fair.
Hooper with a brace and the score is 2-1 Celtic!
Grahame Sharp is not happy with Seamus Coleman.
Nasty clash of heads there between Pearce and Naismith. Pearce has come off the worse for wear and will need treatment.
Wigan are winning against. 1-2 at Upton Park.
Spitty is getting a lot of stick from the Everton away support and has just blown them a kiss for their trouble.
WOW! Wigan lead 1-3 at Upton Park. WHR will not be pleased.I will have to take off for the time being.
CHEERS BD and Someone!
West Ham are getting mauled now. 1-3.
Oh - how did that stay out. Great header by Becchio, half-saved by Mucha and then hacked off the line by Naismith. Nearly a killer second goal on the stroke of half-time.
Mucha nearly cost them another.
Half-time: Very satisfied with the 1-0 but we would have been in dreamland at 2-0. Still on a knife's edge.
Everton have made some inevitable changes. Junior is off and the Little Neviller is on. And Pienaar is on for Gueye.
For the first time in their history today, Everton's starting XI did not have an English player.
Everton already looking more composed now.
Chelski are 4-0 up over hapless Wolves now. Romeu with a pen.
Thank you Steven Pienaar for that wild slice of a shot over the bar.
Fellaini gets a free header but puts it well wide. Thank you, Maurane.
Oh - Michael Tonge wriggled his way into the box but then couldn't curl it in.
Chelski 5-0 up now - Torres getting into the action.
Jelavic set to come on soon. Final sub for Moyes.
Celtic up 3-1 on a Hooper Hat Trick!
Thank you Naismith - a clear look at goal and nods wide.
Sad lack of finish by Naismith.
Now it's Anichebe who turns well and shoots wide Phew!
Toffees turning up the heat.
Hooper nets his 4th for Celtic!
Michael Brown gets his requisite yellow card.
I'd have Spitty off about now - he looks gassed.
Naismith makes way for Jelavic. I'm biting my fingernails now.
Diouf wins a priceless corner. We could use this one flying in.
Jelavic gives away another free kick. Lovely. We're at least hanging onto it a bit more.
Some good pressure now from the Leeds boys.
Austin wins a cheap one right on the edge.
YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!
It was jammy but it's 2-0!
Grahame Sharp is very unhappy.
The day is yours.
It's Austin's goal as it trickles through a crowd gets a little dink off the big Jamaican and goes past Mucha.
Old Monkeyhead must be having kittens up in the booth at that Everton defending.
Boro are now cruising at 1-3.
And speaking of cruising, Chelski are at 6-0.
Oh - Byram squeezed into the box and that deflected effort could have gone anywhere.
Everton straight back onto the attack and Anichebe has one blocked over by Lees. Phew!
Warnock is going potty on the sideline as Diouf goes over and Lee Mason doesn't play the advantuage.
Pienaar again helps us out with a wayward shot.
Still plenty of time, Someone.
I'm not optimistic. I've seen this film before.
GOAL! Distin dinks one in and the game is back alive!
I am back for the remainder of the action.
Ten minutes to gut this one out now. Come on, you Leeds boys!
They tease me!
WOW! Chelsea leads Wolves 6-0 while Everton pull one back at Leeds, but still trail 2-1. Fingernail biting time!
Desmond between Citeh and Villa
Fellaini lets fly and Pearce hangs on to it.
And Ashdown claims well from Jelavic's header.
Better for Someone as Celtic lead Riath 4-1. Cambridge United trail 1-3 vs Kidderminster
Desmond between Crawley and Swansea
Now Tom Lees is in the wars - down receiving treatment on an eye gash.
BD and Someone are sweating it out as we approach the end opf regulation
Wigan now lead 1-4 at Upton Park. That's it for the Hammers as WHR will be disappointed
I conceded.
Hooper with all four goals for Celtic today.
I can't believe you've conceded - we're completely under the cosh here.
You never know. The Toffees could make it Desmoind , which it is Between Bradford City and Burton
Big penalty shout and I have to say that I've enjoyed referee Lee Mason's performance tonight.
I recognize defeat, even from thousands of miles away!
Chelsea have defeated Wolves 6-0
Swansea have taken a 2-3 lead at Crawley deep into stoppage time
Handbags now between Jelavic and headwound boy Tom Lees.
Diouf gets another cheap one that ticks some priceless seconds off the clock.
Blow up, ref!
Sunderland have 0-2 at the Fake Dons
One last chance for the Toffees.
Citeh vs Villa will go to extra time as it is Desmond at the Etihad.
Sotton defeat the Owls 2-0while Bob is on cloud nie as Leeds famously defeat the Toffees 2-1.
Sorry SOmeone.
Full-time: And we've hung on miraculously. I did not expect that at all. We rode our luck, especially in the second half. But we're through to the round of 16.
Swansea win 2-3 at Crawley while Swindon defeat Burnley 3-1
Well played, now go win the damn thing!
Wigan have won 1-4 at Upton Park. Sorry WHR.
Cheers, Someone. I appreciate your hanging in here and tolerating my unabashed partisanship. Not your night but I suspect there will be many others. This is a good Everton side.
I will have to disagree as Man United are still in the competition.
I second that, BD
The 4th round draw will be coming up shortly.
Middlesbrough have won 1-3 at preston.
Congrats Bob. Sorry Someone and WHR.
Nice chatting lads. I will try to be around tomorrow . Cheers lads.

Boro who beat PNE 1-3.
Soton who beat Wednesday 2-0.
Swindon who beat Burnley 3-1.
And Wigan who ran out 1-4 winners.
Enjoy your day gentlemen.
I'll take the winners of Bradford v. Burton, who are in extra time.
Also in extra time, Citeh and Villa, who are locked at Desmond.
Cheerio, Someone. Have a good evening.
My goodness - N'Zogbia has popped in a late, late goal for Villa and Citeh may be on the way out.
That's it for me - the draw is on tomorrow night after the matches apparently.
Congrats BD... sorry SS
Roll on tomorrow's battle of Uniteds
Of course, I won't be around... coaching again
