Boro v. Chelski Live!
Just when Rafa Benitez thought that life at Chelski couldn't get any more irritating, he's got a tricky away match on a rainy night in North Yorkshire to contend with. It's just about the last thing his out of form Chelski boys need right now. Tune in to watch the implosion and Boro glee from 2:45pm onward.

Here's the link that I've got up and running:

The team news out of the Riverside tonight:
Boro - Steele, Bailey, Friend, McManus, Bikey, Williams, Haroun, Leadbitter, McDonald, Main, Carayol. Subs: Leutwiler, Zemmama, Emnes, Ledesma, Hines, Miller, Smallwood.
Chelski - Cech, Ferreira, Ivanovic, Terry, Bertrand, Ramires, Ake, Moses, Oscar, Benayoun, Torres. Subs: Turnbull, Cole, Luiz, Lampard, Hazard, Marin, Ba
So Rafa is calling Tony Mowbray's bluff here and going with several second-string players with eight changes from the weekend. I don't buy it.
Chelski about to get us underway on a really freezing night in the Northeast. Brrr.
Boro are currently residing just outside those top six spots in the Championship.
Oh - Moses misses an absolute sitter there. Oscar dropped one in on his toe and the striker completely fluffed his lines. But Chelski have started brightly here.
This is definitely the proverbial "cold Wednesday night in Middlesboro" that usually tests the mettle of the latest Carlos Kickaballs that top Premiership clubs pick up.
Now it's Torres who whips a ball across the six yard box. No one running in.
Has Torres done something with his hair - it looks orange or something.
Bit of a scare there for Chelski as McDonald ran through but then was waved offside.
Now it's Moses who sets up Oscar for a big chance. Steele did well to block the shot.
Torres misses a big chance there. Rafa must be frustrated. He could have this one done and dusted within the opening fifteen minutes. Will the Blues rue these missed chances?
I am home from school.
I did comment to you on the trivia link as well
Terry gets away with one there, as he ankle taps Main on his way through. The ref didn't see it.
All Chelsea?
Hiya, Dave - I did comment on the trivia thread. Not sure I got any right, though.
Why would't there be a big crowd at the Riverside tonight!!! They're hosting the reigning European Champions! When will that happen again soon
Oh - McDonald heads just wide after a good cross from Carayol.
I commented on your comments
I don't get that either, Dave. It must be a bit parky up north tonight but still....as you say, it's not every night they're playing Chelski in the 5th round of the Cup.
Three out of a possible ten, then? Not that good, eh?
I am off to pick up the boys from school... I'll be back int ten or so
It hasn't been all Chelski but they have had the better chances.
The LOB Club Fine goes to Oscar for hitting the man on the near post not once but twice from a corner.
Bikey hobbles off to be replaced early on with Hines.
Is that an LUFC Academy player I see peeking out of that hoodie? Yes - it's Woody!
Better corner this time but Terry fouls in the box. More frustration.
Nasty there from Ramires stamping on the player.
Back and still no score in added time
Loveley!
Away we go for the second half. I am not watching it as much as I normally would... doing other stuff
Boro get us started in this second half then.
Did you see the talk that MUR and I had about this match going to a replay?
MUR thought that if this went to a replay, then the replay would have to be on the quarter final weekend so United could play West Ham that day in the league BUT.... I found out the FA has demanded all the matches of for quarter final weekend to be played that weekend. So, if it does go to a replay, Chelsea would have to play it on Monday March 4th before they play the Europa League on Thursday and then the Cup on Sunday
GOAL!!!
For Chelsea ...so much for a replay
Deflected in off Tores
Bugger - I've just gone down to fire up the computer in my classroom and I've missed probably the only goal of the match. Sounds like a jammy one, though.
I think the shot by Ramieres was going to go in anyway... not that jammy really
Chelsea have lost ONE of THIRTY-SEVEN FA Cup matches!
So - did I only get three correct in the quiz?
I think so
you got one team right for the wrong question
As for Stoke, remember they haven't been in the Prem that long
Did I?
Blimey - Chelski have put on a Sideshow Jr. Where do they get these hairstyle boys?
I'm sure you'd love to see this one go to a replay. Still some time for Boro to nick one back.
At first no, but with what I explained before... YES
Two nil..... UNITED ARE WAITING CHELSEA!!
GOAL! That's torn it. Moses with Chelski's second.
Should be a corker of a quarter final tie.
PSG two up agaisnt Marseille in the Fr Cup
Zlat with both... second from the spot
Bradford losing at home to Dagenham after Wembely!
Marco Marin coming on for Oscar to wrap things up. Tony Mowbray has really got to roll the dice now. Boro will need to score in a few minutes or they're done.
Bayern 1 nil up at home to Dortmund in the Ger Cup... preview of the CL Final?
Hope not... I want a boring 4 nil for us
Oh - Hines nearly got one back there. Cech came for it but got nowhere.
Off to teach my class, mate. Catch you later!
Boro have had a couple of chance... shame they didn't go in
Take care Bob
Fredonia really have to look at their scheduling of classes!! It's like they don't pay any attention to the Premier League, FA Cup , League Cup and Champions League!!!
Celtic are actually losing at Motherwell 2-1.... as if it matters!
News out of the CL, UEFA have declared Drogba eligible to play for Galatasaray after Schalke had complained
Scores level at one for the second leg in Germany
Bayern are into the semis winning 1-0 against Borussia Dortmund
A Madrid derby for Copa Del Rey
Real knocked out Barca last night
Atletico Madrid are 4-1 up on agg at Sevilla
Bradford tie it up inside the last ten minutes at Valley Parade
Final whistle blows at the Riverside
Chelsea win 2-0
NOW THEY HAVE A SLIGHTLY MORE DIFFICULT MATCH... at the THEATRE OF DREAMS
Motherwell have beaten Celtic
So the quarter finals of the FA Cup are all set
Saturday March 9
7:45 Everton vs Wigan
12:30 Manchester City v Barnsley
Sunday March 10
10:00 Millwall v Blackburn
12:30 Manchester United v Chelsea
Bradford get a point against Dagenham after their day out at Wembley
That's it from me
Talk to you guys on the weekend
