The teams are out on the pitch and Bayern are all but 90 minutes away from a first ever all German CL Final.
They're underway from the Nou Camp.
No team has ever recovered from a four goal deficit in any European competition and I don't see Barca doing it against the likes of Bayern
Barca are without Messi, but they didn't exactly achieve a banner result last week with him in the side. Is he really that huge of a loss?
Victor Valdes picked up a backpass with his hands under pressure and both the fifth official and the ref missed it . How?
Neuer easily gathered a cross from Danny Alves. Bayern have successfully prevented Barca from playing tippy tappy by pressing them.
Barca have been forced to pl;ay tippy tappy in their own half or in midfield.Bayern will take that all evening
Bayern counter and Lahm has a shot blocked as Bayern keep possession.
Alves fouls Ribery, who does not want help getting up.
Mueller heads down a free kick from the Pig Stick, but it's harmlessly out for a goal kick.
Robben called for hand ball as it bounced offg his heel on to his hand.Bartran heads over the free kick
OH! Robben got behind the Barca defense off a through ball from Pig Stick and had just the keeper to beat, but took too long and was tackled at the last second by Pique.
Barca win a corner and Alaba blocks a long range header. Then Bayern counter and Barca struggle to clear. Shaky Barca defending
Nice long pass from Xavi to Alves down the right, but he took forever to cross and several Bayern players were back to block his cross
Ribery broke down the left and was fouled as he played in a cross.
A foul and offside are called on the Bayern free kick as the free kick was intended for Van Buyten to head down.
Jupp Heynkes, the Bayern manager, once managed Real to a CL win, so he is probably not very popular with Barca fans. The same with Robben as he is a former real player.
Bayern doing what real did yesterday and blowing some early opportunities as a Super Mario had a chance to shoot but was tackled before he could.
Byern broke through Ribery but Adriano headed away his cross field pass that could have put a Bayern player through on goal
Alves is out of his box to clear as his back four fell asleep on the play
Ian Wright is critical of Barca fans for "not being in it."
Bayern look the more likely team to score.
Ian is critical of Barca for not playing with any width. I could have told you that.
Neuer tips over a long range effort from Pedro. The corner from Xavi is headed out by Van Buyten who blocks the follow up shot from Pedro
I am home in the 25th minute
Barca have not taken a short corner yet, which ids definitely atypical of this Barca side.
Hiya MUR
Hello UWS. Great to have you on board. Bayern have been the better side.
Mueller was played through but a last ditch tackle and Valdes desperately cleared.
Xavi volleys over from close range as a cross from Alves was headed down. Barca's first clear cut chance of the match
I am sure you are pleased to be home from school.Any chance of a barca comeback? I am not seeing it as they are not giving enough of an effort in my book.
Still 0-0 and still 4-0 on agg. The match is on FX.
Useless cross from Cesc, easily gathered by the giant Neuer.
I got it on the box
Cesc should have done better as Xavi put in a nice pass but Cesc couldn't control it and should have scored for Barca.Four goals needed in an hour vs a strong Bayern side.
Robben is booked for a foul on Song. That is really harsh in my book. I agree with Ian Wright.Barley any contact as Song made the most of it.
Great to hear.Bayern just under an hour away from a first ever all German CL Final.
Great turn by Iniesta, but a superb recovery and block by Van Buyten
Yes I am!
No I don't
Either do Barca... Messi on the bench!
Barca have done more attacking since UWS came home, but have not really threatened Bayern other than the missed sitter from Xavi
I was right yesterday though
Robben on this "strong' foot!!
ONLY FOOT
Correct Messi is not playing, but they weren't exactly world class with him in the side last week. Supposedly not fit enough to play
Yes you were. You deserve credit for that, but Bayern is too strong a side to let a four goal lead slip
The foul by Mueller on Pedro seemed more a booking than the foul by Robben on Song.
Before you came home Barca keeper , Valdes, picked up a back pass with his hands just a few feet from the fifth official and not far from the perfectly positioned ref. Nothing was given by those plonker officials.
Bayern have been excellent on the break tonight
Easy save for Neuer from Adriano.
Van Buyten easily blocks from Cesc, whose passing has been off this evening
Barca starting to look desperate and the fans really distraught.
Anyone in danger of being suspended for the Final?
I see Robben get a card so far but I guess he wasn't in danger
Adriano got down the left and put in a decent cross but nobody was up to connect. The first time he got past Phil Lahm
They didn't list Robben. I am not sure who is in danger.
I don't like Barca's play at all. I love teams that use width.. Barca don't have that
Half time
0-0
Alves is booked as he hobbles off and is booked. It doesn't matter if he's accumulated too many cards.Barca 's not going to the final.0-0 at the half,.
Ian Wright was stating the same as you just stated just before you came home.
Barca need top score four goals in 45 minutes against a team that haven't conceded in 319 minutes of CL play.
NEVER GONNA HAPPEN!
Super Mario , Javi Martinez , Schweinsteiger, and Lahm seem to be in danger of missing the final if booked.Schweinsteiger hobbled off injured at the half and will probably be replaced as that would be better than risk losing him for the final.
The second half is underway as Barca need to score four against a team who haven't conceded in over five hours of CL play.
We're off in the second half
Arsenal were the last team to score against Bayern in the CL.Herr Klopp would be wise to consult with Monsieur Wenger as to how to crack this tough nut.
Naughty by Song on the Pig Stick
Victor Valdes easily gathers the free kick from Robben
GOAL... GREAT SHOT BY ROBBEN... ON HIS LEFT... SHOCKER!!
Don't let him go left!
Barca needs SIX!
IT IS OVER!!!
GOAL !!! ROBBEN SCORES WITH A BRILLIANT CURRLER AND THE FAT LADY STARTS TO SING ABOUT AN ALL GERMAN CL FINAL
Wasn't that pathetic by Barca. A horrible punt by Valdes straight to Alalba in midfield. He played a nice crossfield ball to Robben, who was clearly unmarked. Credit though for a superb curler.
Great block by Javi Martinez from Iniesta.
The German teacher/JV coach at the boys' high school is actually from Germany. He says most Germans hate Bayern but he really wanted an all German final in ENGLAND! He has already given me some stick.
Of course, during his speech at the banquet he kept commentating about Germany and England in WCs!!
Bringing on Messi would be a waste of time. Barca have been pathetic and lifeless this evening
I called an all German Final before the first leg!
I love seeing Barca getting hammered!!!
TYPICAL GERMAN RESPONSE. He makes Bayern sound like the Man Yoo of Germany. His responses were predictable.
Me too, UWS. Time to bring off Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Super Mario , and Javi Martinez who are about a booking away from missing the final
Kudos to you and Matt fopr picking an all German final. You guys deserve credit for that prediction when the rest of us failed in our predictions,.
Alexis Sanchez on for Xavi. Too little too late.
I didn't pick a German final preseason... i just picked it instead of an el classico
Matt was going to pick Bayern and then changed it to BD... now that is impressive
BARCA DON'T KNOW HOW TO CROSS!
IT sure is.Unfortunately, I don't see Dortmund defeating Bayern. Sorry Matt
When was the last time two teams from the same country met in the final?
I know Juve and Milan met at Old Trafford in the early 2000s.. I think
I will need to leave about ten minutes early to take Elizabeth to a dentist appointment. Hope I don't miss a famous Barca comeback
The last time was in 2008 when we defeated Chelsea in the CL Final. In the EL it was in 2011 When AVB's Porto defeated Braga
Bayern walking all over Barca.
Alalba given the freedom of Barca but his final ball was off unlike that for the assist.
If Barca don't score, it would the first time they haven't scored in both legs since they lost in the semi in 08 to United 0-0 and 1-0
Poor pass by Robben after a solo run. His first poor pass.
What an idiot I am... DUH!!!
Did you like my answer to your question?Great stat, UWS. Barca were lucky against Chelsea in 2009.
No probs, UWS. I've done my fair share.
2053:
Barcelona 0-1 Bayern Munich (agg: 0-5)
You can only hear the away fans singing now, and Barcelona's supporters are just not used to being in this position.
They've been outmuscled, outworked, outpassed and outclassed in both legs of this tie. A five goal lead doesn't flatter Bayern
Sanchez wins a poor as Bayern start to get sloppy.
Thiago Alcantara on for Iniesta. Why not ? Might as well give the reserves a chance.
Perfect description of Barca . I could not have stated it any better meself!
I know they were against Chelsea. I remember the bloke on the BBC say that he thought United would hammer them in the final... sadly no!
Gustavo on for Pig Stick. The correct decision as Pig Stick is a booking away from missing the final
Wembley is going to host the final for a record 7th time.. why have they had two in three or four years!
The one time CR played decently in a big match
UEFA claimed they did a better job than anyone else.
2 out of 3 years
Barca fans silent then they boo Pig Stick for taking too long to come off when I though he didn't take that long considering he has an injury. Do Barca fans want to prolong the agony or do they really think they can score six in twenty five minutes.
Ian Wright wants Messi on, but what's the point. It's over.
I hear the Fat Lady singing C Sharp!
Pedro shoots harmlessly at Neuer.
The Derby European Cup Finals
2000 Real Madrid 3 Valencia 0
2003 Milan 0 Juve 0 AC win on pens
2008 Man Utd 1 Chelsea 1 MUFC on pens
2013 Bayern Munich v Borussia Dortmund
Barca have 56% of the possession. That's about 10% below abverage
GOAL !!!! 0-2 BAYERN AS PIQUE SCORES AN OG OFF A CROSS FROM LAHM
BRILLIANT VOLLEY TO THE UPPER CORNER BY PIQUET!!!
in his own net!!
LOVELY JUBBLEY!!!
Off the knee but it flew in
sorry the cross was from Ribery.
I love them getting hammered!
I AM SICK OF THEM
Tymoscuk on for Javi Martinez , who is also in card danger. A great change
Germany host the final last year... this year..an all German final!
England hosting the final... next year.... you guessed it
Me too,UWS. Great ball from Gustavo to put Ribery down the left. Great finish from Pique, showing why SAF let him go. To Think Ian said Barca wouldn't score. Pique proves him wrong.
Quick trivia question.. no cheating.. how may teams have actually been Champions of Europe?
THREE NIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Meuller!
GOAL !!!! 0-3 BAYERN AS MUELLER HEADS IN A CROSS FROM RIBERY.
I LOVE IT.
SEVEN NIL!!
bARCA NEED EIGHT. pLENTY OF TIME FOR THAT
That's what good wing play does
Rafinha on for Lahm, who was also in card danger. Jupp Heynkes is a wily one.
Even I say it is over!!!
I just felt a goal would change everything last night
I didn't feel that all today
I don't know the answer. I will need to think about that one and start tallying the teams.Great question.
Pique losing it and about to talk himself into an early bath if he doesn't shut it.
Give me your gut feeling
Bob better not say that the OG was straight from the Man Yoo training ground. We rarely ever played him in a first team match. Well done SAF!
My gut feeling is about thirty teams.
The announcer says no Messi , as if will score eight.
I have to take Elizabeth to the dentist. Great chatting with you. Cheers mate!
Take care MUR
There have been 22 Champions of Europe
Real, Milan, Liverpool, Bayern, Barca, Ajax, Inter, MAN UTD Benfica, Juve, Forest, Porto, Celtic, Hamburg, Steau B, Marseille, Chelsea, Feyenoord, Villa, PSV, Red Star, Dortmund
One added minute... keep them out Bayern
England have had the most individual sides to win
Five different winners
It's over!
Baraca 0 Bayern 3
Barca 0 Bayern SEVEN!!!
LUV IT
London.. the Germans are coming , the Germans are coming!
All ready for the Final... Dahlgren visiting... Sauerkraut and Wiener Schnitzel on the menu!!
Bloody Norah - how good are Bayern? They've absolutely demolished Barca over two legs.
Looking forward to the CL Final - the menu sounds delicious!
