A big shock in the SPL as Dundee United are one up vs Celtic at the half.
The teams are out on the pitch . John O'Shea said that he wouldn't shake hands with Jack Colback, but I just them shake hands.
They're off from SJP.
A typical derby challenge and typically a foul from Lee Cattermole twelve seconds in . The free kick from ex Black Cat, Jack Colback make it out to Janmaaat and his cross is headed over by Sammy Ameobi.
Ayoze is fouled just outside the box by Seb Coates and is lectured by Anthony Taylor.
Jack Colbak takes it short to Dummett and he shoots well over.
Only the second match for Seb Coates for the Black Cats, on loan from Liverpool.
Cissokho goes on a solo run and the ball breaks to Ayoze , wjhose cross is straight to Pantilllimon.
Tiote, with a typical foul. If he is booked then he will be inellligible to play on Boxing Day.
Tiote being typically vile as he commits another foul, this time on Jordi Gomez. Twice in a minute.
Young Jak punches away a long free kick from Seb Larsson. This will be a huge occasion for the inexperienced keeper.

Dummett heads straight to the keeper off the free kick then when the replay was being shown , Collocini was booked for a horrible challenge from behind on Connor Bloody Whickham
Cattermole with a clean tackle this time , on Ayoze , as it's to the Toon of a corner.
Taken short and a poor cross by tiote is fumbled out by Pantillimon , but he follows the ball out of the box and hoofs it clear.
WOW!!! Dundee United have gone two up vs Celtic midway thought eh second half.
Tiote is called for a foul on Seb Larsson that looked fair. Larsson is down, but it was harsh on Tiote. Perhaps it is due to his reputation.
Sammy Ameobi does well to find Cissokho, who twists and turns , but shoots straight at the keeper.
The Red Devil's 1FCK is being held 0-0 by SV Sandhausen midway through the second half. A win will help their promotion challenge.
A moment's applause for the two Newcastle fans who perished on the flight to Newcastle's pre-season tour. Classy as the Black Cats fans and Gus join in, realizing this is more important than a footie match
The announcer said that the were was also a moment's applause for Jose Gutierrez, an Argie middie for the Toon, who is out with testicular cancer. I didn't hear it, but wishing him a speedy recovery.
Naughty by Tiote on Adam Johnson near the corner flag. How many more is he going to get away with ?
The free kick is curled in by Adam Johnson and Bob will be amused that Connor Whickham misjudged the flight of the ball , heading wide with a free header a yard out at the far post.
About bloody time as it's another horrible foul by Tiote . Will he last 90 minutes. He's suspended for the match at OT on Boxing Day.
Now Colback is booked in his first match on the opposite side of this derby as it was a poor foul on Jordi Gomez.

A decent effort from Whickham and his near post effort is turned around by Young Jak for a corner.

It's been a typically feisty derby match to the point where Fred has come to join me for comfort. He's not use to this.

Ayoze turns Coates again, but Coates does well to recover to put off Ayoze .

Young Jak saves comfortably from a header from Whickham off a good cross from Vergini.
Bob will be pleased to see that Connor Bloody whickham is booked for a foul on Young Jak. I thought it was a harsh booking.
Dundee United United hold on for a famous 2-1 victory vs Celtic.
Red Devil will be pleased that his team have taken the lead vs SC Sandhausen.
Fred is in the castle for comfort, but not to support NEWcastle.

The victory by Dundee United moves them up to second , four points behind Celtic and ahead of Aberdeen on goal difference.
Collocini called for a foul. He needs to be careful as he's already been booked.
The curling free kick from Adam Johnson is headed away then well wide by the Black Cats.

It's 0-0 at the half of a really feisty derby match. Not a surprise as the Blsck Cats are the draw specialists of the BPL and the Toon have scored 83% of their goals in the second half.
The Red devils of 1 FCK have held on to defeat SV Sandhausen 1-0 . Red Devil will be pleased. The Red Devils move one place up to fifth. They are one point behind both a playoff spot and an automatic promotion spot.
The second half is underway from SJP.
High and wide by Connor Whickham. Bob will be pleased.
Steven Taylor is down, shedding blood for the cause as he collides with Steven Fletcher at the post and clearing off the line from a cross by Whickham.
Fortunately, Steven Taylor is up, but he looks dazed as blood is wiped away from a cut by his right eye. Williamson is ready just in case he needs to come on.
A standing ovation as Steven Taylor runs to the dressing room. He's okay, but it would take ages to clear the blood, so I think Williamson will come on in his place.
OH!!!! The Black Cats countered Steven Fletcher laid it on a plate for Jordi Gomez , who shot wide , unmarked from about ten yards out
The Toon are still a man down as Mike Williamson is till warming up.
Lee Cattermole with a requisite booking as he fouls Ayoze on the break. WOW!!! Steven Taylor is back on after being treated in the dressing room.
The Toon win a corner off a cross from Sammy Ameobi. Ayoze runs the ball out off the corer, under pressure from Cattermole.
How about this? Seventeen year old Adam Armstrong, a local boy from the Toon academy , about to come on for Gouffrhan.
Now that change is made and applause from the Toon fans as their hometown teenager is on.

Armstrong has a shot blocked for a corner. Cissokho failed to connect off a cross from Sammy Ameobi seconds earlier.

Sammy Ameobi dispossesses Vergini then his left wing cross is volleyed straight to Pantillinmon. Then Armstrong had a chance to become a local hero, but shot at Pantillimon from a narrow angle when a pass to a wide open Cissokho was a better option.
Ayoze should have given the Toon the lead as he got a pass from Tiote then turned Wes Brown, but shot straight at Pantillimon.
Cisse , the super sub , is on for Tiote . He's scored several winners off the bench and Alan Pardew taking off Tiote before he gets a red card.
Now Adam Johnson gets in on the act of missing sitters as whickham played in a superb pass and Johnson shoots wide with just Young Jak to beat.
Conservative not only in name , as Will Buckley is on for whickham. Both subs were with Gus at Brighton.

The Black cats nearly add a second on the break as Will Buckley played through Seb Larsson, who rounded Young Jak , but shot into the side netting.
Back to the goal. Paul Dummett was booked for a foul on Will Buckley as Buckley found Adam Johnson, who went on a long run. He found whickham , who found Buckley and he laid off to Adam Johnson who scored with a rocket from the edge of the box. The break was from a Toon corner.
Jordi Gomez curls an effort well over.
A cross from Janmaat eludes everyone and that should do it.
That's it and the Black Cats win thanks to a late goal from Adam Johnson, who scores for the third season in a row at SJP. A vital win for the Black Cats , who entered the match only one point clear of the drop zone. Only their third win of the season as they have drawn lots of matches. However, they are undefeated away from home since that 8-0 loss at St. Mary's in October.
They're off from Anfield.
Pool won this fixture 5-1 last season and were four up in the 20th minute. I don't see a repeat this time.
Coutinho goes on a solo run and is tripped by Merte just outside the box.

The second half is underway. It was a really uneventful first half until the final two minutes. Coutinho put Liverpool in front about thirty seconds before stoppage time. Giroud gave the ball away to Henderson , who passed for Coutinho to score with a great finish. The Gunners tied it up in the final seconds of stoppage time as AySlexis whipped in a free kick that was not properly head away and Flamini head in for Debuchy to head in at the far post to tie it up.
Debuchy has been booked for a foul on Sterling just outside the box.
skrtel has been a long time with a head injury . I really hope he's ok.
Good to see Skrtel up . He looks woozy , but seems to be OK..
Skrtel has bandages wrapped around his head , looking almost like a mummy.

Liverpool immediately win a corner off of Chambers
Naughty by Chambers on Sterling. A short free kick is shot harmlessly wide by Stevie G.
OH!!! Pool should have gone in front Sue Sue Sudio rushed out of his box as Sterling easily rounded him . His run forced him out wide and he had to wait to cross as he lacked support. When he did, a stooping header by Stevie G went wide without Sudio in his goal.
GOAL !!! GIROUD PUTS THE GUNNERS 1-2 IN FRONT.
iT ALL STARTED WHEN A LONG DIAGONAL BALL FROM sTEVIE g WAS HEADED AWAY BY gIBBS to Alexis. Gibbs received the ball back. He played it to Giroud, who played it first time to Caz , who played it first back to Giroud, who scored with a first time shot through Brad Jones's legs.

wellie is down with a head injury.,
A clash of heads with Sakho. I'm not sure why Arsene is griping to the fourth official

Stevie G miss controls and concedes a corner. Kolo heads away the corner from Alexis.

Gibbs wins a corner by the corner flag off of Kolo on the counter. The corner is headed aweay

Arsene responds as Giroud is off and he brings on Coq Au Vin. A little too early to celebrate. Coq Au Vin has been recalled from a loan spell at Charlton due to the injury crisis at the EM/.
Into the side netting by Coutinho as Lallana got past former Saints teammate , Callum Chambers.
A flash point between Coq Au Vin and Coutinho as Coq Au Vin is not a celebratory mood after being fouled by Lucas.
Sudio superby tips over a header from Borini. Borini quickly takes it short and out for another. Skrtel heads high and wide from the corner from Coutinho. It all started as Sterling went too easily past Chambers.
Borini has a pass come off of Sudio for a corner.

Borini is booked for slamming down the ball when he thought he should have had a throw.Joel Campbell is on for the Ox.

Sudio fumbles out a shot from Sterling for a corner.taken short and quickly.
Borini is sent off for a second yellow for a high foul on Caz. It's hard to see Pool coming back a man down.
Now Caz is booked for a foul on Coutinho.
High and wide by Sterling as the cameras shot the cut on Caz's stomach from that foul by Borini.
A late sub for for the Gunners as Nacho is on for ALexis. I guess nachos go well with Coq Au Vin.

GOAL !!!! DESMOND AS THE TEN MEN TIE IT UP. SKRTEL WITH A FREE HEADER OFF THE CORNER FROM LALLANA TIES IT UP.
Gooners will be livid as they let a lead slip deep in stoppage time being a man up. The Gooner and dad must be livid.
Brad Jones superbly saves a long range effort from Caz then Skrtel clears for a corner.
The corner is cleared and it finishes Desmond. The Gunners will consider that two points dropped as they let a lead slip against ten men deep in stoppage time.
