We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Hiya, chaps - I'm back from a tedious committee meeting and ready for some midweek footie madness. I should be around for at least the first half of the Chelski v. Toffees encounter.
The team news out of the Bridge this afternoon:
Chelski - Cech, Ivanovic, Zouma, Azpi, Ramires, Matic, Cuadrado, Willian, Hazard, Remy. Subs: Felipe Luis, Fabregas, Ake, Drogs, Courtois, Cahill, Loftus-Charles.
Everton - Timmy, Coleman, STones, Jags, Oviedo, Besic, Barry, Lennon, Naismith, Barkley, Chunk. Subs: Joel, Gibson, Kone, Mirallas, McCarthy, Garbutt, Alcaraz.
Starting line-ups at Old Trafford:
United - Twilight, McNair, Jones, Evans, Rojo, Blind, Roon, Jan, di Maria, RVP, Falcao.
Burnley - Heaton, Trippier, Keane, Shackell, Mee, Kightly, Arfield, Jones, Boyd, Barnes, Ings.
Isn't that exactly the same side that underwhelmed at Upton Park at the weekend?

In the other matches in the Premiership today, Soton host West Ham, Citeh visit Stoke City, Palace and Newcastle clash, and in the late one WBA welcome Swansea.
Chris Smalling has opened the scoring for United against Burnley tonight.
First look at Cuadrado there. Seems very direct, went for goal from an acute angle. Just wide.
That Chris Smalling goal moves United up to third, a point ahead of Soton in fourth and two ahead of Arsenal in fifth.

Lambert was my pick. I'm surprised he lasted that long. There was no sign of Villa's next point or goal coming any time soon.
Danny Ings with that equalizer for Burnley. It moves them up one place to 18th.
Burnley in all gray. A return to OT for Burnley Keeper , Tom Heaton, who never played a first team match for United.

In the Championship, we could use a win for Forest against Wigan. Wigan and Blackpool are in danger of getting cut adrift from the rest of the relegation pack, from Millwall on 30 up to us on 35 points.
This Chelsea match has been a real bore. Everton doing a nice job snuffing out any chances.

UWS will think I'm joking when he sees that Smalling scored twice and that Di Maria put in a great cross.
So, United lead Burnley 2-1 at the half thanks to a brace from Smalling , of all people.

well wide by Rojo, the not so mighty red.
Great news. A Millwall loss on Saturday will be great news.
Celtic are two up at Partick Thistle in a Glasgow Derby. A win would put them three points ahead of Aberdeen with a game in hand.,

James Milner has added a second for Citeh now, which will chip away at Chelski's lead at the top. Only five points now separate the sides.
Heaton does well to hold on to a deflected effort from Jan
I guess there's still hope for me in the PPP.

Roon booked for an unnecessary and stupid block
United cheaply concede possession in their half, but thankfully a deflected effort from Kightly went straight to Twighlight.
I guess things have to even out. After a nine goal thriller at Goodison earlier this season, it's 0-0 at the Bridge between Chelsea and Everton with three fourths of the match played.
A useless long range effort from Di Maria. well wide.
Scott Arfield booked for a rugby tackle on Herrera. Roon needs to let Kevin Friend do his job even if he is a foe.
Now Falcao goes in to the book. Kind of harsh. He goes up for a header and his momentum took him into the player. A foul, but nothing malicious. Falcao complains and Kevin Friend calls Roon over to diffuse the situation. Now Roon has a talk with Falcao , trying to calm him down
Trippier was injured on that challenge and is off for treatment.
Citeh now 1-3 up at the Brittania . Bob will not be pleased as Aguero has a brace , scoring from the spot.The penalty was due to a foul by Geoff Cameron on David Silva.
A second United substitution as James Wilson is on for Falcao. A decent idea as Falcao had been booked and was perhaps not in the right frame of mind to continue
Nasri has now put Citeh 1-4 up at the Brittania. Brown Ideye has given the Baggies the lead vs the Swans.

BUGGER!!! Willian gives Chelsea an 89th minute lead vs the Toffees. I think Chelsea won this fixture 1-0 last season with the winner at a similar time.

A corner is given to Palace, but that looked a hand ball on Janmaat just outside the box. Tim Krul superbly tips a header from Hangelaand off the corner around the post. An Acrobatic save. Krul catches the next corner.
That was Krul on Palace , whop thought they had a late lead and Pardew , who would lover a victory against the Toon.
Bob will be delighted that Forest have thrashed Wigan 3-0.
