The Champions League Semis Wrap Up
Well, then - that was a cracking match between Liverpool and Barca last night, wasn't it, now? Liverpool's shocking success and advance to the Champions League final means that we'll have at least one English side with a shot at the prize. Will we have two? That's all up to Spurs tonight. They'll start from a 1-0 deficit from the first leg at home, but stranger things have happened in this year's competition.
Join me for all the shenanigans this afternoon, if you have a chance.

Here’s the bad news for Tottenham Hotspur. Of the 17 teams to lose the first leg of a semi-final during the Champions League era at home, only one has turned it around to make the showpiece event. It’s none other than Ajax, back in 1996, when the reigning European champions went down 1-0 against Panathinaikos, only to win the second leg in Greece 3-0.
The team news for tonight's clash:
Ajax: Onana, Mazraoui, de Ligt, Blind, Tagliafico, Schone, van de Beek, De Jong, Ziyech, Tadic, Neres.
Subs: Bruno Varela, Veltman, Sinkgraven, Huntelaar, Magallan, Dolberg, de Wit.
Tottenham Hotspur: Lloris, Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose, Sissoko, Wanyama, Alli, Eriksen, Lucas Moura, Son.
Subs: Gazzaniga, Lamela, Dier, Llorente, Foyth, Davies, Skipp.
Referee: Felix Brych (Germany).
The teams are out and there’s a blistering noise being made in the Johan Cruyff ArenA. The home fans giving it plenty: flags, a brass band, the lot. What an atmosphere!
What a start for the home side - De Ligt rises to nod home a corner for an opening goal for Ajax!
Ajax now 2-0 up.
Oh - Son has hit the post! This match is crackling already. Anything could happen!
GOAL! Ajax are 2-0 up on the night now! Great goal!
Ajax are flying now. 3-0 up on aggregate and you really can't see Spurs getting back into this one. Ajax v. Liverpool is going to be one heck of a final.
The half-time whistle goes and Ajax are on cruise control. 3-0 up on aggregate and Spurs' season is just about over.
I'm off home to enjoy the second half.
AND SPURS DO A LIVERPOOL...SCORE THREE SECOND HALF GOALS AND MAKE THE EUROPEAN CUP FINAL!!
An all English Final... will it be the same with the Europa League
Spurs will be the eighth different English team to feature in a European Cup/Champions League final, after Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Leeds United, Liverpool, Manchester United and Nottingham Forest. England have had more different teams in the final of the competition than any other nation.
Can Spurs make in the sixth winner from England
Only the Dahlgren boys' sides have not won it
They were both robbed
