A Huge Match at Carrow Road
Morning, boys! There is no way to sugar coat this one. My beloved Leeds United travel to our old stomping grounds at Carrow Road this afternoon for a relegation six-pointer. Norwich have yet to win a match and have only scored two goals. Ordinarily, you'd think that this was an easy win for us. But we've only won one match against lowly Watford and haven't seen a return of the freewheeling form that lit up the Premier League last season. My patented rubric says this is a must-win for us. Come on, you Leeds! #MOT!
Join me for this nailbiter, won't you?

It was lovely to have an extra hour of sleep this morning, but I'm here with bells on for this relegation six-pointer. Come on, you Leeds!

Good Morning, Bob. Here to join you for the massive relegation six pointer.
COME ON LEEDS!
MOT!
Leeds needs to stick a Farke in those Canaries!
Morning boys
MOT!!!
The boys are coming out at Carrow Road - MOT!!!!
Morning, boys - great to have you on board this morning. I'm on pins and needles. This one's cup match for us.
Good Morning, Dave.
Now we have the bugler
It is funny that I have noticed at the Leicester match there was a mic clipped to the end of the bugle
In the Spurs United match there was a mic on a stand
Now we have a guy holding a mic
Lovely Remembrance Day ritual.
Morning David
Come on Leeds....make it a good weekend for all of us
Happy Halloween boys
They're off from CR
COME ON LEEDS! MOT!
Only ONE win in 18 games combined from these guys
Happy Halloween Everyone
Come on, you Whites!!!
What are your Halloween plans, chaps?
Really poor form. I think the Canaries last Prem win was a Friday nighter vs the Foxes in February 2020. I remember watching that one
I really don't have any plans. I guess going to the match yesterday was my Halloween plans. How about everyone else
All of the stands have changed so much at CR... I love to think we have been there many times
Walking down from the town, take a left and a right and over the bridge to ground
Bob, do you remember that guy on a moped racing away from the coppers and falling in front of us at that corner?
Kabak wins a corner off of Koch in a German tussle
Early corner to defend now - mark 'em up!
I think that the Canaries have drawn their last two home matches, so Leeds will have to work for the win
No plans here. I will probably go drop off a sub to Doug at some point
Fitting that Leeds playing on Halloween because their opponents are in their Halloween costumes. They're dressed as Premier League Footballers
Sorry about Doug. Hope he gets well soon.
They can't figure everything with him
Leeds could have done better with that break
WOW! That's tough. Sorry about that
Oh - nice interplay between Raph and James at the top of the box. Nearly.
I hate all the talk about Leeds dropping form from last year.... they just haven't scored
James....off the line
OH! Dan James rounds Tim Krul but his shot was cleared off the line. Nice through ball. That's more like the Leeds of last season
Bob, did you see my comment about Carrow Road?
Do you remember?
Oh - Dan James was through there and rounded Krul but his effort was cleared off the line. That will quieten the crowd a bit.
I was thinking the same. Leeds haven't been taking their chances this year. That's where the loss of Bamford hurts them
I do remember that moment with the bloke on the moped, Dave - I wonder what he'd done?
Norman Wisdom and not so Wise down for the Canaries. The bleach job does not flatter him one bit
Promising signs from us so far.
Glad you remember it
There was a little chicane that the bloke had to take and couldn't handle it!
Oh - Pukki with a chance at the top of the box. Fortunately, put it wide. Phew!
Was it Ipswich or Norwich where you Dahlgren boys wanted kebabs... I always wanted F&C
Pukki shoots wide after a cross from a free kick was headed out
Phew...just wide
I remember that chicane as well.
Now a free kick to defend - mark 'em up!
Lovely effort from Dowell - keep it up!
Villa to beat the Hammers by two goals...United into the top four!
Did you see that Aguero was taken to hospital with a chest injury during the match yesterday
This is the first Prem meeting between these two since 1995. Didn't realize it had been that long. The Canaries were relegated that season
Spreading it about nicely but no killer ball there.
Definitely rooting for Villa today. That's horrible . Didn't know about Aguero
I need some points from Rodrigo today....come on!
Leeds are blowing these breaks....come on!!!
Ah - Rodrigo nearly played in there by Raph - first touch was poor.
I checked the match details . Aguero was subbed at 41 minutes , leaving the match in tears. Barca were held 1-1 by Alaves and are currently in ninth place
Just to let you all know the Toros made the playoffs for the first time in 2016 and only the second time in their history, defeating first place El Paso 4-1. Will be away to league champs , Phoenix, in the first round
A goal should be coming up....I'm off to the loo
Raph seems unhappy with something.
Massive clash between Llorente and Arons. Both down for the count.
MOT!!!!
Stu Dallas with a foul on Kenny McLean, but the ref waves play on, then Llorente and a Canaries player clash off a nice tackle by Llorente
Both players will be able to continue, fortunately.
Kieran Dowell not throwing in the towel as he wins a Canaries corner
Another Norwich corner now - mark 'em up!
We're giving Norwich too much encouragement.
Norman Wisdom and None Too Wise shoots well wide
I think this may be one of those where Leeds has to grind out a result
It seems like it, yeah.
Raph needs to starting taking this match by the scruff of the neck and start running the show
The Canaries drew their last two home matches and most of the thrashings have been on the road, so they seem like they will be a little tougher to beat at CR
Everything's going through Raph.
Congrats to the Toros....they win in front of you for the last time!
Half an hour gone. I need a goal to settle my nerves!
What was that James!!!
What was that pass from Dan James?!
Damn it...just got a yellow from Rodrigo...negative points for me
I'm going to be 1-9!!
Rodrigo picks up needless yellow for a striker's challenge.
Oh - come on, Dan - put the jets on!
Thanks, Dave. it's a great way to leave the Toros. Not sure about my next new team or match since I will be two hours drive from the nearest team. Chattanooga and Greenville in L1 and Asheville in L2. Is it worth it to drive that far for that level of footie?
Bob, now you are seeing why the two Daves were frustrated with Dan James during his time with the Red Devils
I say pick a major league team
As I said, start at the ground floor with the Charlotte FC....it is sort of local....and in the same State
Decent cross and header back...Rodrigo couldn't swivel
Oh - great cross from Raph to James who knocked it back for Rodrigo. Just didn't take the chance. Shame.
Bugger! Cross from Raph headed down and Rodrigo couldn't control . Canaries counter
Nice move from Dan there wins us a free kick out wide left.
Leeds with a free kick...James goes down quite easily...did that at OT too
The ball is fizzed in by Raph and Llorente nods over.
Looks like Grant Hanley has a problem - he would be a big loss for the Canaries.
Great ball through to Dan, but he wastes the chance.
That's a good shout , Dave. I was thinking Atlanta United because we will be visiting Elizabeth's aunt in that area from time to time and it would be a good location as well a s the shortest drive of any MLS team. Charlotte FC is about a four drive so I might watch them once or twice a season
AGAIN...James blows it!
I would bring on the youngster for him!
I picked him up this week but couldn't fit him in my line up
It's been scrappy first half, which is not surprising considering the two teams have combined for one league win this season
Nice pass from Rodrigo to Raph, who goes on a run a and his shot is deflected straight to Tim Krul
Morning chaps. It's lovely here in the Commonwealth today. Should be really favorable for trick or treating. I've been watching while I finished my breakfast and petted our guest dog Trixie.
I can't put my finger on it why Leeds are not cruising this one already. The last ball, perhaps? MOT!
Norwich coughed up the ball and Rodrigo turned and shot. On target but Krul smothered it.
Now it's Jack into the book for a late one on Arons. I could see Jack coming off at half time - he hasn't made any impression at all on that right wing.
Jack Harrison booked for a late challenge
Good Morning, Steve We're also experiencing good weather.
Effort from distance and Meslier didn't take any risks with it.
Stupid save there
Into stoppage time. A minute of that
After Meslier gifted the Canaries a corner , it was headed out and just wide by Norman Wisdom from 25 yards out
Morning, Steve - glad you're having a nice day for the kiddies on Halloween. Not so nice up here - it's almost a tradition up here that it rains on Halloween.
It's 0-0 at the end of a really scrappy half
Ht
Come on Leeds!
Pretty uninspiring stuff at the half. I hope Bielsa has a plan for how to upset the stasis. My advice is to tell James to stop running down so many blind alleys.
Teams coming out for the second half
Leeds going thru warm up sprints
Remember the days when teams just came out and played!!
We are off
Come on Leeds
The second half is underway from CR
Come on, you Whites - let's have an early goal in this second half!
Nasty one from McLean on Meslier earns him an early yellow card in this half.
Kenny McLean booked for late stamp. More like McDirty
Adam Forshaw being prepared to come on - I don't know the purpose for that. We need goals!
Coop gives up a free kick in a dangerous position. Come on!
Steve Bruce spotted in Dubai at the T20 Cricket World Cup and and on a yacht.....slightly better than getting stick from 50,000 people at SJP
Meslier hung on well there.
I'd say - Brucey is well shod of that job.
Meslier easily saves a Canaries free kick then Grant Hanley knocks him over when he attempted to throw the ball out. Should have been a booking
Norwich's last time out at Carrow Road...they drew 0-0 with Brighton.... which was a good result
Not sure where Bruce will be next . Maybe MLS?
Agreed. Can't see why Taylor decided to forgive that. A yellow every single time.
A draw would not be good result for Leeds, but at least they're out of the drop zone, a point ahead of rivals, Burnley
Agreed, Steve. Its was cynical at best
Doesn't Bruce have any hobbies? He must have a packet squirreled away so that he doesn't have to do such a stressful job any more.
He just got paid 12 million...doesn't have to do anything
A draw against a team that looks like they know they're going down before November is demoralizing. This is a must win. MOT!
Hiya Steve...you must be pleased with your lot
Too much fouling going on. Really niggly.
Phew! That was a dangerous cross over but Meslier grabbed it.
YES!!!!!
I thought he blew the chance!!
WAY HAY ! RAPH SCORES FOR A LEEDS LEAD
That's what I thought. Brucie should find a villa on the Costa Brava and lie around like Roy Winstone.
YESSS!!!!!!!
The announcer says " Crisis in East Anglia." Love it
Boom boom boom boom - Eaphinha's in the room!!!
0-1!
Finally! Raph buries a shot and hopefully there will be a few more.
Ruddy Norah!!!
BUGGER ! THE CANARIES TIE IT UP
Such a stupid corner!!!
IT WAS A MINUTE!
FFS!!! No sooner out of jail, back in the clink. Poor from Llorente but he's not the only one culpable.
Bugger! Conceded almost immediately from a corner. Grrrr!
1-1
Really poor corner to concede.
Andy Omobaaidielee, the teenage Irish international with his first Canaries goal,. Sorry, Bob
YES!!!!!
MY MAN TOO!!!!
TWO ONE!!!
NOW DON'T CONCEDE A CORNER!!!
Come on, let's get it back!
Oh yes!!!!!!
What a hit from Rodrigo! This match has exploded!
1-2!
Two goals in two matches from Rodrigo!
WAYHAY! LONG RANGE SHOT FROM RODRIGO GIVES LEEDS A 1-2 LEAD. KNUCKLE BALLER WENT UNDER TIM KRUL'S DIVE. NICE TACKLE BY KOH THEN TO KAL PHILLIPS THEN TO RODRIGO FOR THE GOAL
Leeds scores again! Tim Krul lets one squirm in and Roddo puts Leeds ahead.
Nearly 1-3 but Tim Krul rushed out to block then the Canaries cleared
Phew... goal stands....that shouldn't even go to VAR
Too picky on everything!!
So many famous goals of our youth would not have not counted
They. have given up another bloody corner
COME ON!!
Congratulations, Bob. At least Leeds haven't conceded straight from the goal like the first one., As a I type the Canaries have a corner. Clear it this time
Another dangerous one
Well saved
Another corner for Norwich - let's mark 'em up this time!
Free header again but Meslier saves this time.
Not good defending but fortunately not a McLean header from Kenny and it's straight top Meslier
Raphina to benched next week.... takes down the gaffer
Raph has bowled over the boss now!
Raph wins a cheap one out wide right.
Am I correct that the Canaries goal was the first Prem goal of the season scored by someone other than Pukki? The first of that player's career
Free kick chance for the Whites
I want a third one before Norwich have a chance to settle again.
Seriously? Why can't the big lads dominate their area for Leeds? Leaving that guy at the back without anyone of them challenging? Did Mustafi sneak in there to defend?
I think they said he had scored the only two before
Harrison with so much space.... fails to find a teammate.... LOST ART!!
Leeds now three points clear of the drop zone. Leeds need two goals without reply to move ahead of the Hornets
You're right Al-Prez. That's the third goal score in the league and the first one not scored by Pukki.
More good stuff from us but it comes to nothing.
Thanks for the clarification, Dave. I wasn't sure but that's what I thought. I think one of those was a penalty, so that would mean only one goal from open play. That's absolutely dreadful
Thanks , Steve.
Now we've conceded a free kick needlessly. Shackleton into the book. Maybe time to replace him with Drameh, who looked really good against Arsenal.
If the Canaries lose then they need to stick a Farke in Danny and give another manager a chance at this lot
Keep those type of free kicks coming....rubbish!!
I'd like to see some changes right about now. Gelhardt on to put the frighteners on Grant Hanley, perhaps?
Rzolis on for Kieran Dowell. The announcer said he's an out and out winger.
Jamie Shackleton on the ground now - he should be replaced.
Jamie Shackleton down for Leeds
I don't think Norwich will don anything with their manager.
I think they are going down.... he's won back to back Championships... they will keep in to win a hat-trick of titles and then replace him for their next Prem season
Just as I wanted - Shackleton off and Drameh on.
Why not Tyler Roberts to get behind their defenders?
it appears that he will be replaced. Just as the doc ordered Drameh on for Shackleton for a Prem debut. Bob doesn't want any more Drameh though
Gelhardt should get more game time....let him attack teams...plus I just picked him up
I agree - they'll hang on to Farke until the summer and then make a change. It's clear at this point that he can't survive in the Premier League.
That's possible Dave. What will they do if they're worse than the Rams team of 2007-08
Premier League debut for Cody - he's been a bright spark for the U-23s.
You don't think they will keep him for the Championship...he's the best for that level
Horrible ball from Jack there gives it straight to Pukki and he's upended and Norwich have a big chance now.
Mini Cooper called for a foul on Pukki in the D
Leeds lose possession... free kick inside the D... possible too close?
What a terrible tackle. Pukki was surrounded without any room to shoot. Knocking him over was all he was interested in.
Agreed. Farke's next stop will be the Championship or a lower level team in Germany
The wall is too far back!! The distance the wall is from the spot is more than the ball to the D
Straight into the wall.... into the SHINS!!
Horrible free kick into the wall . Bob will take those.
Phew! We survive the free kick, which is drilled into the wall.
I still think Norwich should and will keep him
Farke for Atlanta United is the rumor.
That I just started.
For next season
Oh - Raph had a chance from that Harrison center.
