No telly coverage of the "No One Likes Us" Derby, of course, so I'm on this link for Soccer Saturday:
http://www.firstrow1.eu/watch/172150/1/watch-soccer-saturday.html
The team news for the big match:
Leeds: Kenny, Byram, Peltier, Lees, Warnock, Green, Tonge, Norris, Varney, Morison, McCormack. Subs: Ashdown, Pearce, White, Brown, Diouf, Habibou, Hall.
Millwall: Forde, Dunne, Shittu, Lowry, Beevers, Wright, Henry, Woolford, Abdou, Marquis, Afobe. Subs. Taylor, Smith, C Taylor, Tyson, Keogh, Saville, Osbourne.
Referee: M Jones
News out of Blighty this morning that Arsene Wenger is claiming that he doesn't plan for any game, basically running out his strongest side for every match. Maybe that's part of the problem?
Kick-off time - Come on, you Whites!
We start in 9th, six points out of the play-offs, whereas Millwall languish below the half point in 14th. Three points are a must today.
Millwall danger man Martyn Woolford has a couple of early efforts.
Some really irritating lovey dovey comments about Monkey Boy Bale on Soccer Saturday now.
Paul Green has a pop at goal; it's blocked out by Danny Shittu.
Good morning BD.How have you been? I guess there is not a link for the match. I don't see it on the menu.
Fifteen minutes in - still 0-0. I'd have to say that Millwall have been the better side given the text updates I'm getting.
Morning, MUR - no telly coverage of the "No One Loves Us" Derby.
Great to have you on board for today, though. Still 0-0 at Elland Road as I type. Hoping for three home points.
East Stirling lead Rangers 0-1 at Ibrox at half-time!
Sorry t hear that, BD. I thought there would be for the big match. I guess people are watching Rangers vs East Stirling or St.Mirren vs Celtic.Perhaps the conclusion of Man Yoo Academy vs Bolton Academy.
Millwall's Mark Beevers picks up the first yellow card of the day. Twenty minutes in now - still 0-0.
Celtic have just taken the lead at St.Mirren in the Scottish Cup
Celtic are 1-0 up now.
A win for Leeds and they are only three points outside the playoff spots.
Did you see that there were two Friday night matches in the Championship :
Derby 0 Palace 1
Wolves 1 Udinese West 1
Gianfranco will not be pleased.
I saw that - Udinese West are off the boil at the moment. Wolves are scrapping for their Championship lives - could be a second successive relegation for them.
How was your week, mate?
I just looked at the stats on the text updates and it seems to be an even match at ER.
It was a rather busy week. I now have some tutoring jobs, had Spring Open House at school Thursday evening , Jacquelyn had a choir concert Thursday evening, while Melanie had violin practice that same evening. Melanie has a music competition this morning, so we will probably leave at the start of the second half.
St. Mirren have tied it up vs Celtic in the Scottish Cup
Half an hour in and it's starting to get a bit more chippy at Elland Road. Stephen Warnock is close to a yellow.
Glad to hear you're getting some tutoring jobs in. Best of luck with the kids with their concerts.
Morning Fellas
How is everything?
I am up and ready for a day of footy
I do have to take the dog for a walk at some point. i am hoping to go before the 3 o'clockers
Remember, I am riding solo with the kids this weekend
Kathy is visiting her friend in Charlotte
Morning, UWS - everything's great here at Blue Devil HQ. My new house flew through the inspection stage yesterday. Going in to talk financing with the local bank next week.
Thanks, BD. I missed Jacquelyn's because I was at Open House. Melanie's competition will be in a little while. I am sure you are tired from a busy week. I happy that you are just about done with the house process.
i haven't got the No One Likes Us derby on FR. I will let you keep me up to date
I have Soccer Saturday link going strong
Good morning UWS. How was your week?
Still 0-0 at Elland Road in the 35th minute. Lots of scrappy midfield play, not a lot of chances.
There is not a link for that derby. Just Soccer Saturday
all square in Scotland with Celtic and St. Mirren
Leeds have missed a penalty!!
Bloody hell - Ross has missed a penalty for us!
Celtic have regained the lead. Anthony Stokes with the lead goal. 1-2.
Celtic back up top
BUGGER!!! Sorry about the penalty miss.
I am stunned there is no telly coverage.
Rangers are now drawing against East Stirling
Rangers are level - Andy Little with the equalizer.
I'm not surprised. No one likes us, after all.
Rangers have tied it up vs East Stirling
They don't exactly like Millwall. I thought this match would draw a decent viewing audience.
We're starting to pile the pressure on. Unfortunately, the ref will blow for half-time in a moment or two.
Halftime and 0-0 at ER.Unfortunately , Ross missed a penalty for Leeds.I will probably not be around for the second half. I hope to be around by the second half of the 10 AM matches.
Half-time at Elland Road. Off to clear some dishes.
Interesting little story from Peter Barnes. An ex Blue and Red
Phil Thommo says Citeh's performance was special... did you think they played that well. They could have lost it if Lamps pen went in
Villa host CIteh on Monday. Did I just hear they play Reading on Wednesday? That's not fair
No, they play Saturday
I was amused with Piers Morgan's predictions on the BBC
He said it pained him to say that United would win 4-0
Shrek and Robin Van Purse Strings.... he didn't want to be to confident with the North London derby... Arsenal to win 8-0
I enjoyed that Peter Barnes feature as well. It's amazing how many ex-English players have ended up in Southeast Asia (e.g., Peter Wythe, Stevie Coppell). I once saw Stevie in the Bangkok Airport.
Former Leeds defender Danny Mills at Elland Road on BBC Radio 5 live:
Leeds 0-0 Millwall
"On a day like today, with it being so sunny, why don't goalkeepers wear sunglasses like cricketers do?"
We're back on for the second half at Elland Road - MOT!
Good question, Danny!
1333:
KICK-OFF - Leeds 0-0 Millwall
The second half begins at Elland Road. Will we see a goal? Has Ross McCormack realised he was wearing two left boots?
Alan Dunne is the second Millwall player into referee Jones' book.
"Reading Time?" They're still our mojo!
Nearly an hour gone. I won't ask Evil Neil for some changes because he rarely makes them at this stage.
From LUFC.com: "United started the second half well and both David Norris and Morison were denied by the whistle after threatening. Varney was also brought down after a good run forward, Millwall dealing with the resultant free-kick."
Bugger... just lost the SS link
I will take a walk now then... while I'm gone.... LEEDS WILL SCORE!!
Thanks, mate - enjoy your walkies.
YESSSSSS!!!!
Another penalty. This time new boy Stephen Warnock takes it and makes no mistake!!!!
1-0!
Ross redeemed himself by winning that penalty.
That's Stephen Warnock's debut goal for the club.
Spitty has come on to replace Ross; Michael Brown to replace David Norris. So Evil Neil is trying to hang on to this lead. 15 minutes left to play.
I am back and I called it!
Congrats mate
Tim Howard not in the net for the Toffees!
Giggs not involved at all today!
Why SAF? Why not get #1000 done at home against Norwich!
RVP and Roon up top
Welcome back, mate - we're hanging on to this slim lead with grim death.
Surprised not to see Giggsy involved today.
Less than ten minutes left.
Crossing all of the digits right now - this would be a crucial win!
Millwall have gone all in at this point - all three subs used. Hang in there, you Whites!
1413:
Leeds 1-0 Millwall
Big moment for referee Mike Jones as he waves away Millwall shouts for a penalty when Sam Byram appears to handle the ball in the area.
Millwall manager Kenny Jackett has just burst the fourth official's ear drum as he yells his disgust at the decision.
Leeds do not hang around, and Luke Varney wastes a great chance to seal the win on the counter-attack
Leeds 1-0 Millwall
We are just about go into five minutes of added time at Elland Road.
No Rio for United
Biting all my nails, now. Come on, ref - blow up!
Deep into stoppage time now - blow up, ref!
YESSSSS!!!!!!!
1-0 at full-time - seven minutes of stoppage time!
Nice - we're up to 8th, on 49 points from 34 matches, with a GD of -4.
Well done Leeds for a the win
THREE POINTS OFF THE PLAYOFFS
BREAKING EL CLASICO TEAM NEWS - Real Madrid v Barcelona (1500 GMT)
While Real Madrid choose to rotate, Barcelona only leave out Xavi and Cesc Fabregas as Thiago and David Villa come-in. Not bad options for stand-in manager Jordi Roura with Lionel Messi also starting.
Thanks, mate - will you be watching the Classico.
They're scared of United
As expected, Jose Mourinho has made several changes to rest his star players ahead of Tuesday's trip to Manchester United. Cristiano Ronaldo, Mesut Ozil, Xabi Alonso and Sami Khedira are among those left out, with rare starting opportunities for Kaka, Luka Modric, Michael Essien and young striker Alvaro Morata. Barca are missing Xavi with a thigh problem makes him doubtful for the Champions' League return leg against AC Milan in 10 days. His place goes to youngster Thiago Alcantara."
I can't believe Fergie didn't play Giggsy... it was this EXACT date that he made his debut!!
March 2, 1991.... symmetry SAF!!!
Fergie has no need for nostalgia - he wants to win another title.
Also on this date
Today is a significant anniversary in the football world.
On 2 March, 1888, 125 years ago to the day, William McGregor, then the secretary of Aston Villa, wrote a letter to four other clubs - Blackburn, Bolton, Preston and West Brom - to propose playing in a league.
16 year old Isaiah Brown on the Chelski bench.
I agree... get it over and play him
210 streak comes to an end today
September 07 last time he didn't play
I hope Giggs doesn't start on Wednesday
Wynalda wants to see Bale at United
They were going to buy way back when... as a left back. Remember, that was his position when he was bought. I think he wasn' the flavor of the month for a while with Arry
Many signs sticking up two fingers at Rafa at the Bridge!!
I understand what he was talking about though... stop attacking him.. he's leaving... just support the team

Could it be an omen for Rafa??
Andre Villas-Boas left after a 1-0 loss at the Hawthorns in March last year, while a 2-1 defeat at the same stadium in November proved to be Roberto di Matteo’s final English Premier League game in charge of the European champions.
Get the bloody fishing off the air!!!!!
Finally
United need to get revenge for our last loss in the Prem
Here they come... Ryan should be walking them out!
COME ON MAN U

United v Leeds South about to begin
Come on United... get an impressive easy win please
away we go
United attacking the Stretford End in the first half!
Which match are you watching, mate?
Useless lay back by Anderson... don't start that way please
Struth... if that cross was good... it was one nil!
There were two men open at the back post
Oh - great ball over by Demba Ba and Oscar should have buried that one.
And now Mata comes close on the volley. Great start from Chelski.
i'm watching Hull and Brum!!

another mention of the Leeds win
Are you watching the CHelse match?
First goal in the Championship this afternoon - Hull take the lead over Brum.
RVP almost put Roon in... not fast enough
Benzama scores for Real
Apparently, Rio is ill today and not being rested
Pathetic by Kagawa
Useless attempt of a one two from Roon... I think he is past his due date
Stoke 0-0 West Ham
Oh my word! Ouch does not even cover this. Peter Crouch flies in to attempt an overhead kick, but he ends up catching Matty Taylor full in the jaw. Accidental, but very painful. I think Taylor is going to be ok, he looks groggy though after a size 12 to the face.
already ten minutes gone.. no shots on target for United
We need to attack teams!
That sounds nasty.
Taylor was out cold after being kicked in the jaw
Blackburn 0 Peterborough 2 already
They scored at Millwall in their last away game
Two quick goals and Posh are 0-2 up at Blackburn.
The match I'm watching... Hull 2 Brum 0
Where were the players running into the box for Vidic's header!
QPR take the lead at St. Marys
Penalty at the SoL... one nil to Fulham.. Berbs
Just too long of a pass by Roon to RVP... just a bit shorter and RVP was in
Goal at Boro... to the host against the Welsh leaders
Bugger - I was hoping for a Cardiff win today. That doesn't help at all.
Bolton winning at Barnsley
Barnsley waiting for Citeh!
Goal somewhere.... at Real... Messi ties it up!
Charlie is watching that match and not a prem game
This is not good from United!!!!
Why are we playing like this?
Maybe because it's a winning formula for you this season?
Boro two up
Ameobi scores in home debut... I didn't know he left SJP
It's not the United way!!!
Brighton leading against Huddersfield... not good for Leeds
Decent cross by Valencia... surprisingly!... no one there to knock it in
COME ON UNITED
Great pass by Carrick... useless cross by Kagawa.
United's crossing is PANTS
I want Gordon Hill and Steve Coppell out there
Valencia again fails
Atrocious pass attempt by Anderson
We're a quarter thru this match.. not too impressive
Valencia has lost all of his ability!!
WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO HIM
We'll have him off you at the Elland. Nani too. You can have Luke Varney off us.
United blew that break chance
Posh 3 up at Ewood!!
8 goals in less than a game and half away from London Road
Bugger - now Brighton have taken the lead against Huddersfield.
Do you think Valencia looks like he knows what he is doing?
Goal somewhere... for Chelsea... rats
GOAL! Nice team goal there for the Blues, ending with Demba Ba finding the net.
1-0!
Nice knock back by David Luis and tapped in by Matt's mate Ba
Great stuff from the Brazilian duo Oscar and Luiz on that one.
Are you watching the CHelse match?
Shoot it Wayne.. stop faffing about with it
Kagawa fails to get the ball over
Yeah - watching Chelski.
We've got it covered!
Evra's cross blocked.. comes to Roon.. shot blocked.. almost comes to RVP
United get a corner
POMPEY AR TWO UP AT CREWE!!!
RVP takes the corner... out for another
Roon to take from the other side
Roon fails to beat the first man at the six yard box... another corner again.. not much better, cleared

ANOTHER ATROCIOUS CROSS BY VALENCIA!!
It landed outside the top of the box
Everton take the lead at home to Reading
Hair Bear with the Toffee goal
Terrible by United again
If you want me to stop commenting I will but I am fed up... AGAIN
Darke and Macca are saying it is a strange atmoshpere.. the fans need to be patient
WHY... UNITED NEED TO HAMMER THESE TEAMS!
Burnley take the lead at Charlton
Nice - Huddersfield equalize on the stroke of half time. Well in, fellow Yorkshiremen!
Corner to United into added time... cleared
Sotton tie it up... le tis is happy

Weak shot but it goes in
It happened on the computer before the TV
RVP did get kneed in back.. not good after last week
Snoddy with a yellow with a foul on Evra
One nil West Ham at Stoke
Colison
Roon finds Valenica but he goes backwards.. RVP shoot and only hits Row Q this time
He has really been off the boil... get out of your little rut
Goals in every Prem match in England... Swansea and Newcastle still scoreless though
Hello UWs and BD . I am back to see that United lead 1-0 through a goal by Kagawa , assisted by RVP. Macca said United have had 99% of the half.
Jonny, a Norwich supporter at Old Trafford: "Once again the referee is in United's back pocket! Norwich have been poor though."
I don't know what there is to complain about
I have the Soccer Saturday link going, so I guess I am all set.
Welcome back MUR
United have had all the ball. Norwich had a break where two guys at the back post were open but the cross went out... this was really early on
United have not created much though
I didn't see anything wrong with the goal. Macca said Norwich have made no effort to play footie. That should be Jonny's concern
Thanks, UWS. Great to be back.
i have the SS link going and watching the United match
Bob is watching Chelski... if he's still around
I heard Skippy is not starting in El Classico today where it is 1-1 at the half.
Already started in Wales and London... ESPN finally is back
I am doing the same as you, UWS.
Jose has made a lot of changes... seven non starters starting
Finally, we're off at Old Trafford
They're underway at OT.
COME ON MAN UNITED!
Another two quick goals please
The link is ahead of the TV... WHY!!!
I don't blame Jose. They have no chance of winning the league. The CL is their only chance this season.
we can't even blame FSC... it is ESPN... not good enough
Tom is home for the weekend. He just noticed... we are back to the white ball
Bob has buggered off again!
Not a good start of passing by United... come on
Back to the white ball because we're in March??? I am sure you are pleased to be home with Tom. Is it for the weekend?
Come Anderson... pass the ball! You're Brazilian
Barnsley pull one back vs Bolton as they trail 1-2. I hope they upset Citeh
