The Gary Monk Revolution Begins!
I'm cautiously optimistic as Leeds enter the new season with a new manager, Gary Monk, and nine new signings including Rob Green in goal. We've got a tough start with an away fixture at Loftus Road against QPR followed by a trip to Fleetwood in the Capital One Cup in midweek and then Birmingham next weekend. Within a week, we should know what this new look Leeds is going to be made of. Join me for the beginning early doors tomorrow.

Morning, chaps - I'm up early doors to see what this new look LUFC is all about, cuppa and bagel by my side as usual.
The teams now out in this bright sunshine:
Queens Park Rangers
Smithies; Onuoha, Caulker, Hall, Bidwell; Chery, Gladwin, Henry, Luongo, Shodipo; Polter. Subs: Ingram, Lynch, Cousins, Washington, El Khayati, Perch, Kpekawa.
Leeds United
Green; Berardi, Bamba, Bartley, Taylor; Diagouraga, Vieira, Grimes, Dallas, Roofe; Wood. Subs: Turnbull, Coyle, Cooper, Phillips, Mowatt, Sacko, Antonsson.
Referee: Mr O. Langford (West Midlands)
And we're away at Loftus Road - come on, you yellows!
Bloody hell - QPR have scored one of the scrappiest goals you'll ever see within the first few minutes. New keeper Rob Green flapped at a corner and Onouha bundled it over the line.
We're 1-0 down within a few minutes.
QPR really have their tails up now - we're under the cosh. Come on, lads - settle!
First touch for Kemar Roof, our new summer signing from Oxford. He was a top scorer in L2 last season.
This is better now. Charlie Taylor earns us a first corner now after a lovely sweeping move.
Gary Monk cutting a neat and tidy shape on the touchline with a sweater and tie number. I really hope he can turn around our fortunes. He's the 9th manager we've had in three years.
The commentator mentions that Charlie Taylor is looking to move to Liverpool by the end of the transfer window. Not good. He's been a key feature in our midfield on the left.
Massimo’s in. Sitting quietly and observing the football so far, but the dayis still young.
The replay of the goal suggests that it may well have been an own goal off either Bamba or Green. Horrible.
Chery is allowed a baffling amount of time to try some tricks down the right, his cross is cleared and the ball finds its way to Luongo on the left, who hits just about the worst cross you’ll see all season, sliced into the stands.
All QPR possession now - we've only shown fleeting moments here at Loftus Road.
Another bit of a flap from Rob Green - he looks really nervous returning to Loftus Road.
It appears that Lewie Coyle - one of our LUFC Academy players - is making an early substitute appearance. Berardi is coming off and he isn't happy about it, punching the side of the dug-out as he comes off. Not a good start for the Italian.
The QPR faithful are having some fun and games with Rob Green now and he plants an easy clearance into the stands. Oh dear.
Charlie Taylor is hacked down out wide left by Gladwin, who picks up the game's first yellow. And we've got a good free kick opportunity. Come on!
Oh - that's a horrible free kick from Stu Dallas, well over the mark and out of play.
Oh - Chery flicks one off the post! We were nearly two goals down.
MOT - great noise from the Leeds away contingent now.
Jake Bidwell talks himself into the book there.
Nice touch from Ronaldo Vieira but Taylor's cross was overcooked.
A bit better now from us but now it's given away and QPR run it back up the pitch and Poulter hits the post with his effort.
Shodipo chases Coyle down the left and charges down a clearance. Early days, but this kid (only just 19) looks bloody mustard.
More signs of improvement. Well, it could only get better.
Oh - a decent cross there from Taylor that just evades Chris Wood but it runs to Dallas who blazes well over. That deserved better.
One minute of added time. Leeds gently, gently, gently creeping back into it. A bit.
Half-time - Leeds troop in 1-0 down but it could have been worse. We're still in this one but things have to improve in the second half.
And we're underway again at Loftus Road - no further changes to either side.
Good start from us, which produces an early free kick chance. Come on, lads - get this one back!
Oh - Matt Grimes with a left footed effort but it's up and over. Didn't quite dip enough over the wall. Grimes is on a season long loan from Swansea.
Oh - Ben Gladwin went in very heavily on Ronaldo Vieira and he was booked already in the first half. Lucky boy.
Another free kick chance now - Chris Wood is over it this time.
Straight into the wall (sigh)....
More pressure from us - this is good.
Leeds fans in fine voice now as Lewie Coyle wins a corner.
First change for Rangers - Gladwin is pulled before he gets a second yellow. Jordan Cousins for him.
Matty Grimes goes into the ref's book now for a high one.
Leeds have definitely been better since the break, although that wasn’t saying a great deal.
I'd like to see Gary Monk make some real changes now.
And here it is - Marcus Antonsson on for Grimes. That still seems like for like. I'd like to see 4-4-2.
Chris Woods wins us a corner - more good work. Come on!
And now a QPR corner. Let's keep it tight lads.
Onouha goes in heavily on Taylor, but nothing doing from the officials there. He’s back up in rapid order, mind.
Taylor can lob a long throw in for us now. And wins a corner.
Shodipo has looked good for QPR but he's making way now.
Poor short corner routine, which would have really irked UWS if he were watching.
Oh - Chery shoots from a narrow angle and Green saves well.
QPR looking dangerous again now.
Substitute El Khayatti shoots through a crowd and Green saves again. He's been much better since that initial flap.
Oh - bugger. Ronaldo Vieira bundles over his man and QPR have a penalty.
Chery steps up and converts an excellent penalty - Green guessed right but he couldn't keep that one out.
2-0 QPR
Roof gets the hook after an uneven performance.
Hadi Sacko on now for the last 15 minutes - hard to see us getting back into this one now.
Antonsson wins a corner now.
If we can get something from this set piece, it will at least be an interesting last ten minutes.
Oh dear - Antonsson with the best chance of the afternoon and he's pulled his shot horribly wide with only Smithies to beat.
Sacko has at least injected some energy into our attack here.
Oh - Sacko has it in the net but he's flagged off for handball.
Chery troops off after an impressive debut for QPR. James Perch on for JFH.
We need to get it up the pitch in a hurry now.
Gary Monk not pleased by what he's seen.
Kyle Bartley has at least looked composed on his debut at centre back.
Into four minutes of stoppage time now....
Oh - Antonsson has a chance at the back post but blazes over. Not been pleased with his debut.
Still haven't had a shot on goal this match.
A chant of ‘Massimo, time to go’ starts up from the away end.
3-0 - Sebastian Polter rifles in a goal from an impossible angle to add to our misery.
How on earth does Rob Green get beaten from that angle at his near post?
And that's it - the referee puts us all out of our misery.
That's enough for me, lads. I'll be back with a fresh post for the Community Shield in a couple of hours.
