It's second vs. fourth in the opening match this weekend. Here are the teams on display:
Manchester City: Ederson, Walker, Akanji, Dias, Ake, Rodri, De Bruyne, Gundogan Foden, Grealish, Haaland.
Subs: Ortega, Phillips, Stones, Laporte, Alvarez, Silva, Mahrez, Palmer, Lewis.
Newcastle United: Pope, Trippier, Lascelles, Botman, Burn, Longstaff, Guimaraes, Joelinton, Almiron, Wilson, Gordon.
Subs: Dubravka, Saint-Maximin, Ritchie, Targett, Isak, Manquillo, Murphy, Willock, Anderson.
GOAL! Citeh take the lead through a brilliant solo effort by Phil Foden with a heavy deflection past Nick Pope.
Foden's goal is nearly cancelled out immediately, Wilson slipping Longstaff into space, just inside the City box on the right. Longstaff can’t sort his feet out, though, allowing Ake to come across and block. That was a huge chance to equalise in short order.
Checking in at the 70th minute mark now. Citeh are cruising it 2-0 thanks to goals from Foden and Bernie Sanders.
Citeh have wrapped up a 2-0 win over Newcastle to come within two points of Arsenal on top.
Now then, we've got a big one about to start. Here's the team news out of the Bridge:

Bloody hell - Arsenal have fallen behind in the first minute. We need them to hammer the Cherries today.
We're obviously sitting deeper today. Just need the point.
Threatening corner there and Fofana should have done better. Happily, he put it over the top.
We've won two early corner, but have wasted both of them. We really need to find a way to use set pieces more effectively.
Oh - Havertz was in on goal but Meslier did really well to stand up to him.
Now Joao Felix hits the bar with a lovely side foot volley. We're really riding our luck so far.
Brighton have taken the lead over West Ham - that's good for us.

Aaronson is the perfect player for a match like this, just scrapping away and breaking things up.
Oh - decent chance there teed up by Rutter for Aaronson but his shot was blocked. Good stuff.
Oh - Chillwell was in there but his volleyed effort was well wide, thankfully.
Another great break earns us a corner. We're just starting to come into this one and the crowd is quieter now.
Dangerous free kick for us - Jack puts it over the top. But we're in this one.
Oh - nice turn by Rutter on the edge of the box but Koulibaly nicked it off his toe.
Summerville won a foul there well - nearly half-time. Just need to see these last few minutes out.
We're really knocking on the door here.
Half-time - I'm quite pleased with that performance so far. We haven't just sat back but has pressed forward as the match has gone on. 0-0.
Into the second half now, and Chelsea have come out quickly again. Sterling with a few chances and has now earned them a free kick.
Lovely - Enzo curls it well over the top.
Bugger! Fofana rises highest to head Chelsea into the lead.
We need a goal now - come on!
Gracia will need to turn to his bench now. Gnonto is the obvious one to bring on.
Ayling wins us a corner - need to make something of this.
Oh - the ball came out to Tyler Adams who tried to dig out a curler. Not too far away.
Willy Gnonto and Matteo Joseph have come on to try to rescue this one. We need a goal here and for Arsenal to pull their fingers out - otherwise we're heading into the relegation zone tonight.
Now Sam Greenwood has come on for Jack - I would have had him on from the off.
I'm getting sick of Wesly Fofana's antics. Why don't any refs call obstruction any more?
We're creating some great moves but the final pass and finish has been lacking. We haven't had a shot on target all afternoon.
Summerville earns a corner but again it's a poor delivery.
About ten minutes left to rescue this one.
Oh - Firpo picked out a nice cross but Ayling couldn't direct it on target.

Bloody hell! Wolves have pulled out a late, late winner at Spurs! Not good at all.

Oh - Meslier nodded it on target! But Kepa grabbed it.
That's it - a decent performance but we've gone down to another defeat which places us perilously close to the relegation zone, only out of it on goal difference, with 22 points from 25 matches - only thirteen to play.
