Happy Birthday, LOB!

The LOB is, believe it or not, 19 years old today. It seems a lifetime ago that I hatched the idea for this blog as I was recuperating from an apendectomy in Florida. Over the years, this blog has been a constant source of comfort for a lot of us, as well as a means for organizing our efforts to follow the Beautiful Game. We've been through everything from dodgy websites, to network tv to streaming and back. But the sense I have now is that this humble forum has outlived its purpose. A lot of those of us who used to contribute here back before smartphones were so ubiquitous are not shifting to texting during matches. Thus, unless I hear from contributors that it should continue, I'm planning to disband it on its 20th birthday next year. I simply don't have the time to keep it going on my own and I'm not sure there is enough interest to sustain it. But for now - happy birthday, you old dog!
